The Central Courtyard

First topic message reminder :

The Central Courtyard is a large open space at the center of the school where students can sit and spend their free time. A Well through which the tunnels connecting Alfea, Red Fountain and Cloud Tower to each other can be accessed. When the moonlight shines on it, the well opens a portal, which leads to another dimension with lots water, where the map of the Infinite Ocean can be seen. A Public Square where functions such as the beginning of year and graduation ceremonies are done. It also serves as a landing space for flying ships.

Lena glances down at the ground, feeling a tiny bit guilty, but happy for the compliment. She looks the square in the eyes and begins to answer, "We use magical power sources and in some places, they use combustion engines. Pretty much everything is powered by magic or as Amara said, our own magic with out wing."

Artemis looked up at Lena and Amara "wings... Like... You suddenly grew?" She asked Lena to be sure. "I'm a power source myself... Would I be able to do that too?"

"Yes, like the wings I grew, but we're not power sources." Lena corrects softly, "You might be able to power some machines here due to your abilities, but they won't run for long without a constant charge. If your are indeed a fairy and find your magic winx, you'll be able to transform and have a set of wing."

Artemis blinked "me.... A fairy?" She looked at Lena with a rather puzzled look "how could I even know if I'm one?" She asked her in her innocent lacking knowlage "I know it looked really nice... But I don't know if I am one... Because... You know" she made a gesture to herself "I'm not really from this world now am I?"

Faragonda smiled as she noticed the conversation proceeded without the snapping at one another. Very briefly she cast a grateful glance toward Matrim being a voice of reason next to her. "Lena is right, and here at Alfea we help young girls like yourself to find their magic within," Faragonda said leaving the rest up to Matrim.

Matrim only chuckled softly at the girl's surprise that steam engines went long since out of date. "Well let me explain you a bit about this realm. We used to have steam engines but we quickly found out that electricity was a lot better and cleaner so we stopped using steam engines and never perfected it the way you probably did. So we have different technology and use different apparatus."

Lexi too noticed Eros in the corner of her eye as he arrived and sat down. She looked back at Artemis, wanting to help but not knowing what to say to her, staying silent for most of the conversation.

Artemis looked at them "but I allready found my.. Well... I guess magic" she took a step back and placed her hands together before opening them up, spreading her arms wide open as a jolt of electricity kept running between her outstretched hands before she closed them and made it dissipate, smiling proudly at what she could do "so what do I need to find then?"

"Casting magic is one thing, even the youngest of fairies start to cast their first spells as young as three or four years. But what I mean is that you should truly connect with that which gives you your powers. And that is what we teach here," Faragonda explained as best as she could.

Matrim didn't really have anything to add to the conversation thus remained silent. He did however observe the conversation going on and listened to what everyone had to say.
