| Everyone know's that the 2nd Winx Club movie and even the episode from season 4 took out the "marriage" concept. But why? Whats so wrong with marriage to Nick?
A Fairly Odd Parents episode had Timmy Turner's mom and dad get married in some crazy situation, and I bet even Spongebob had a marriage moment at some point.
So whats wrong with marriage anyway? Disney tossed out marriage left and right so why does Nick do this with the Winx?

| I'm not sure how much there is a nick's intention with winx. Personally I'm glad this whole marriage pushing was dropped a bit, cause point of marriage is to have kids and since winx girls are active and still very young, that would be very strange. Plus it would actually bring whole aspect of sexuality into the series as marriage couples do more than kissing and I think that's what they are afraid of...
And as for Disney, well they're not exactly the best role models...

| Well, the iTunes 45 min thing was apparently a typo. on the tv guide, it says some 90 mins. | |

| ummm I have to object to saying the point of marriage is to have kids. My brother and his wife have been happily married for over 10 years and are not having kids.
Anyway I am unsure why Nick would do this. Marriage is important in life in the world today and to ignore it is really foolish. I get we don't need to go into the details of what happens between a married couple but still... I mean Blooms parents both on Earth and Domino are married right? I mean what's the problem.

| My idea about Nick saying no no about marriage isnt because Nick doesnt want a marriage, might be because Iginio Straffi doesnt want it to happen yet. Look, both Rainbow and us wants to expand Winx Club waaaay more, and so, having Bloom and Sky and them marry might speed up everything. I mean, we might even get season 8-onwards! The MARRIAGE SCENE will probably be one of the big endings!! Well, I think so....Don't you all agree? |

| Wait.....I watched the preview and they had Nick's voices. SO NICK FINALLY DID A DUB OF THIS MOVIE? YAY! And I don't see what's s o wrong about marriage to them. I have watched the Rai version many times and I was expecting Bloom to say "Sky asked me to marry him!!!!" but instead I heard " Sky asked me to the princess ball!". - Spoiler:
As we all know, Bloom cries because the wedding is called off. So is she going to be depressed and bawl about not going to a princess ball? What kind of sense would that make?

I agree Bloom and Sky's wedding along with the other weddings should be at the dead end of the series, and Bloom and Sky should be the last ones to get married in either a double with Stella and Brandon or Flora and Helia or just a single wedding with Winx and Specialists as Bridesmaids and groomsmen, Stella and Brandon being Maid of Honor and Best Man of course. A wedding would be a series ender thing not a season ender. Also speaking of Bloom and Sky's wedding did anyone notice that Jason Queen and his bride looked like an older Bloom and Sky which might foreshadow Bloom and Sky having their wedding on Earth instead of Domino or Eraklyon

AHahahah that may be true ^^ Becuz they can't really pick between Eraklyon or Domino, so, which world would it be better to happen at? Bloom's adoptive planet for the past 16 years of course! It will be a funny wedding though, 2 mum's and 2 dad's XDD As for what you said about the wedding being a series ending, yep you are completely on the spot. I mean, obviously they would end it that way! XD I doubt they'll end the series with the winx going off to who knows where. Nope, they'll probably be kings and queens. Funny because one of the episodes in Seaspn 5 was thought as a wedding, turns out it wasnt XDD |

| @Sailorrob- traditionally and anthropologically the institution of marriage is to legalize the offspring of the couple as rightful, as opposite to outside marriage children. Nowadays luckily not that many people care if You are married, you're in partnership, or not. For that there are either married couples without children, or unmarried with a bunch of them, but taking under consideration that both Sky and Bloom are royals, the traditional marriage=children model would be still valid (kinda like in case of William and Kate), but thanks goodness we are out of times when woman during the ceremony had to sworn obedience to her husband.^^
@PrinceAbeash- I agree I think it would be as in case of Sailor Moon where marriage scene was the final one.^^

that actually raises a good point. While marriage in modern society isn't about childbirth in a chivalrous society like that which exists in the Magics dimension Bloom and Sky would be expected to have children as soon as possible. While I don't object to this as part of the story I can understand why Nick might want to avoid this on what is considered a children's show. It's a shame that we as a society are so fearful of exposing children to something that is a simple fact of life like this but the way things are in today's society it actually does make sense that Nick would want to avoid it. Shame really there is no reason this has to be such a "bad" thing.
