So if you haven't heard, Sailor Moon is getting a new series this summer 2013!!!
Personally, I think Sailor Moon is the series that defined the magical girl genre. it's been one of my favorite FOREVER and I'm so happy a new series is being made!
Hope there are other Sailor Moon fans out there!

Usagi's mother had her hair dyed to VIOLET? Was that in the manga?
And having that dream segments was really cool too.....really unique that's for sure

I watched episode 1 yesterday, and everything was going pretty well until I saw that CGI transformation. If you're going CGI, go full CGI, don't leave her face in a different animation style. I mean, if they managed to put out quality transformation sequences back in 1992, why can't they do it by hand in 2014?
Anyways. Reliving my childhood was a pretty great feeling, not gonna lie. I found myself yelling MOON CRYSTAL POWER, MAKE UP! along with Usagi
I say that was pretty good all things considering. Now to wait for the redub for the original series.
Which they recently released the new English cast.

And yes, the lead DID do Flora from the Rai's version (I assume) of TSOTLK
@alizanoun: I had to double check this on moonkitty.net (who has done their research btw), but the series will be shown on the first and third Saturday of each month, so the next date will be on the 19th of this month.
Hey, does anyone think that Mamou/Tuxedo Kamen's voice is the same one from the classic?

so episode two came out and yay no filler the pacing in the last anime was really bad it took like 20 episodes to find sailor mercury the episode was great but i only have one problem with it all.... the cgi transformation sequences. dont get me wrong they are great and all but they should of been 2D animated as when it suddenly jumps to 3D i find it really distracting. plus usagis arms in the transformation just looks off. i will admit sailor mercurys tranformation is allot better than sailor moons but if they wanted to use the cgi they should of just used it for all the anime instead of just the transformations. i mean they managed to make beautiful transformations in the old anime and animation is always evolving and improving so its sad to say that the old shows tranformations are better than the new show which has better animation on the charecters. the trasformations are one of the most iconic things about sailor moon and need to be extra magical and spectacular animated ..... i do like them but its a disapointment because it seems that 2d animation is dead in europe and america so i dont want to see japan taking iconic storys and making them fully cgi animated. i know im going waaay off topic and over reacting but thats how i feel when i see the cgi transformations.
MERCURY POWER, MAKE UP! I LOVED this Act! Ami was so cute! And Usagi was hilarious when she got her pen at the arcade! xD I do love her transformation!
