Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon

So if you haven't heard, Sailor Moon is getting a new series this summer 2013!!!

Personally, I think Sailor Moon is the series that defined the magical girl genre. it's been one of my favorite FOREVER and I'm so happy a new series is being made!

Hope there are other Sailor Moon fans out there!

I've never watched Sailor Moon, but I love the magical girl genre! I did buy the first volume of the new manga though and I really liked it. I'm waiting for the reboot, and after I watch that I'll go back and watch the original series. It just seems so dated.

i cannot wait for the new reeboot sailor moon is amazing and is responsible for other amazing stff *cough* winx *cough* its one of my fave animee ive ever watched and i know all the words to the orignal theme song

I hope this is true and they need to release Sailor Stars in america too though. It's by far the beast season of sailormoon

That's true the last thing we got was Super S, Which focused on the Inners and Rini, until the Black Dreamhole was dubbed. If we ever do get an official Stars it will have to be heavily edited by either Cookie Jar (formerly Cinar/DiC) or Cloverway if they want to show it to 6-15 year olds. I would say do something like the other dubs did back in the 90's call the Sailor Starlights the cousins of the Starlight Singers and bring up that cousins living with a friend thing for Uranus,Neptune and Pluto, having Hotaru call them Aunt Michelle,Amara,Trista respectively.Then there's the final episode where Serena(I know her Earth name's actually Usagi but Serena sounds nicer than Bunny, probably the only thing the dubs did right was trying to get their names close to either there planet or power or in Mercury's, Venus' and Mars' case only changing/dropping a few letters) spends the entire episode wearing nothing on her but the ginzhoushou on her bust and wings on her back how would you censor that to fit with US Standards, turn her transparent or glowing white? Anyway I did enjoy sailor moon when I found it, but that was awfully rude of Raye and Darien to call Serena a meatball head, even if her hair does look like that.

Don't forget that in the Japanese versions, they also called Serena/Usagi Odango as well... including Seiya and Hanaka/Amara calls her that. =P

^Amara's original name is Hakura not Hanaka, Odango was less rude as that is actually a hairstyle however, I think they tend to call her rabbit Child in Japanese more (Usako, ko meaning child)

I was wondering what Usako meant, because I've been watching Sailor Moon in Japanese with English Subtitles (The first season I watched was in English Dub).

And I know that Amara's original name is Hakura, it's just I kept forget how she spelled. x_x
