Does Icy really need a Sirenix?

First topic message reminder :

Ok, so it has come to my attention that Icy does not need to transform into her Sirenix to use her oil & ice combined powers. Then what will be the point of the Trix's Sirenix? They look pretty strong in this picture. It is shown that the girls are trying to evade Icy's shot. Why not use their powers shields? Will the Trix be any stronger than how they are in this picture? We will have to wait and see.

But with the Prince of the ocean and their power boost. They'll be pretty much same as the winx since
their powers now are equal to harmonix and when the winx get sirenix, Trix will be weaker. but when trix get sirenix, they'll be equal.
