Would you want Daphne to become the seventh Winx?

I'm a little curious as to if people think it would be a good idea or social suicide for Nickbow to introduce Daphne as a seventh Winx Club member.

In my personal opinion I think it would be a terrible idea. The writers for Winx Club can't even manage to give us good stories for the 6 characters we have, imagine what they would end up doing with 7 characters.

Ug, I had wanted to add more, but my 2 year old wanted to cuddle, so I can't type more. Just share your opinions, but respect everyone else's.

She shouldn't be, I mean, referring to your point abt stories for 6 characters and stuff, they couldn't manage and everything. Plus, Daphne's teaching at Alfea, Faragonda probably doesn't want teachers skipping class?

My main gripe if Daphne became part of the Winx is because it'll be a thinly-veiled attempt to put more of the spotlight on Bloom. We'll end up seeing their interactions with each other, and I wouldn't put it past them to make Daphne a satellite character for Bloom. Not just that, but a 7th Winx would put less focus on anyone that isn't her, Bloom or possibly Stella (and even she's been getting less attention). Flora and Tecna don't have much backstory. Musa's been changed a bit too much and Aisha didn't get the focus she should have gotten in season 5.
Whatever she may offer to the group will be butchered by Nickbow's lack of desire to put anyone in the spotlight besides Bloom unless there's an actual reason to do so, or it'll benefit Bloom or something. I don't dislike Daphne, but they've done a bad job of keeping Bloom out of the spotlight and bringing her sister into things is going to make it worse. And unlike with Roxy, who I think they considered at first but decided not to because of negative reception (or they just didn't want to), Daphne will help put spotlight on Bloom, which Roxy might not have done had she become a Winx.
Let's be honest; if they can't write for 6 characters, they definitely can't write for 7. ~~they should hire me i can write~~

I can certainly say that if they suddenly figured out how to competently write for the Winx, I wouldn't mind Daphne joining, but I have no faith in them.

Yours asked if there were 7 or 8 winx members. Not if there should be.

But yes, there shouldn't be 7 members especially since Daphne is older and will be a teacher. It won't fit very well.

Yeah, Daphne isn't really one of the winx, she's just Bloom's sister. No one has a bond to her except for Bloom, and what's her power. She also looks alot like Stella, just not as glamorous. She's pretty, but that's not enough to keep her in the winx.

It didn't take me too long to think about this. The answer is clearly no.
First of all, Daphne is too strong to hang out with a bunch of emotionally unstable 20 year olds. I figured Daphne is already way past that phase, no matter how young she might look, so I find it highly unlikely that she'll be around to babysit the Winx. Secondly, she's going to be a teacher at Alfea, and that brings responsibilities. She couldn't just skip classes like that. Sure, the Winx were teachers once, but I believe they were just guests, because we never got to see them teaching since season 4. Well, not to mention that no matter what's the character, if they get into Alfea, Nick will probably forget about them. But we did see Daphne next to the Winx in one of those secret videos, so that's probably not the case. However, I truly hope she'll be a huge help to the girls, because they need a real fairy to teach them how to do it. Daphne has seen it all, including the disappearance of her own family and the whole planet. Also, I feel like she'd be more present than Faragonda. As much as she helps the Winx, she's still the principal of the biggest fairy school in Magix, and that probably takes up a lot of time.

tl;dr
Should Daphne join the club? No.
Should she offer some sort of guidance to the Winx, much like Faragonda? I hope so.

I personally think that Daphne should be apart of the club. She had a major influence throughout the entire series where Roxy did not. If it wasn't for Daphne Bloom wouldn't be anywhere right now. Plus Stella's older and their probably going to abandon the whole let's make Daphne a teacher thing again. It would be fun to see the human aspects of Daphne in season 6. And wasn't Daphne dead?
