Upperclassmen (and others!)

First topic message reminder :

Hello. After reading though the "First Days At Alfea" thread....my unimaginative brain couldn't figure out a way to seamlessly join in. So A new thread for anyone to join as they please.

My only rule will be the request that you form complete sentences and words. Please do not use L33T speak, or even Lolspeak. L33T was developed for when phones did not come with key boards and texting long words was not only complicated, but often costed per letter. You have a keyboard and every stroke is free so please do make the attempt 8D

Sitting at the edge of a small pool in the Alfea botanical garden, one Amalthea Orion sat observing her nature class project. A collection of pink floating lilies drifted along the surface. Each one giving off a faint glow that brightened and dimmed seemingly without order.

" 'Thea," Her bonded Pixie, Enoch, whined as she made another note in her journal. "You've been staring at those flowers for over an hour. Can we go have some FUN now?"

"We only have two hours before curfew." She observed, looking at her watch. "What would we even do?"

"Sometin' that's not just sitting here." Answered the Pixie.

Amalthea flushed brightly at being caught by Miss. Griszelda at the party. It doesn't look like she was going to punish anyone if they moved quickly enough though.

"Well, um, excuse me." She said with a polite nod to the mystery gentlemen before quickly heading for the door.

"Well that was creepy." Enoch whispered once they were in the hall. "Did ya getta loada that guy? Total ten on the creeper meter."

"....." Amalthea started to say, but couldn't quite find the words. That HAD been rather strange. It wasn't long before she reached her dorm, and upon entering practically fell on her bed.

" An' that Pixie! I neva heard'a 'nother Pixie being kicked outta the village. Then again, not somethin' anybody wants to talk about really. Wonder what she did." Enoch himself had been accused of stealing and corrupting the Staff of Time. In reality as the next Pixie of Time (though you would be hard pressed to get another Pixie to admit it) the staff was his by right. All of the other Pixies refused to even consider that it was their actions of hatred and negativity that had caused Enoch to tap into dark energy instead of positive. It was hard to use good, positive energy when there wasn't any around.

"What'd yer powers tell ya about him?" Enoch asked, fluttering over to his own small bed.

"...That is just it. They told me...nothing." She heard more than saw her friend gasp in disbelief. "It was as though there was nothing there to see, no inner hopes or dreams, fears or worries..." The mere thought of such a person gave her cold shivers of dread.

"Na, that can't be right. Maybe he just had some kinda...I dunno, shield around 'im or somethin'? No offense, but yer only a Charmix level Fairy. S'possible he was stronger than you, enough to do somethin' like that."

"I hope you're right my dear one, I don't like considering the alternatives..." She trailed off, falling into an uneasy slumber.

~The Next Morning~

"....And don't drop anything!" Shouted the kitchen mistress after Amalthea as she hurried into the dining area carrying a stack of plates. Due to the party the night before she had woken up late and arrived at work even later. Now she was rushing to get the tables set before the rest of the students started arriving for breakfast.

"Ah, careful...careful!" Enoch yelped from the top of the stack where he was flying, trying to help Amalthea keep the tower of dishes steady.

faragonda: no you are you and your friends have to clean windows after your done with my job

fran: aww man

Amalthea paused sweeping the floor when she saw other students dejectedly moving towards the large widows in the front hallway. Almost all carried buckets and wipes, some ladders to reach the higher windows.

She and Enoch exchanged a look of confusion. Windows were cleaned once every two weeks, and usually with magic to save time. The only time they were washed by hand was...ah, she realized recognizing some of the group. This must be a punishment for last night's party.

"We 'sposed ta help 'em, or just keep doing our normal job?" Enoch whispered, realizing the same thing.

"I'm not sure, I hadn't heard about this." Amalthea replied.
