I wonder is pokemon anime? I never knew if pokemon anime

Yes, it's anime. It was made in Japan in 1997 and it's still going on to this day. I watched it when I was little like in preschool but I don't like it anymore and don't care for it.

There's an english version that you can watch but if you're going to watch the Japenese version, Watch the banned episode since December 16, 1997: "Electric Solider Porygon." You can find out why it was banned if you look it up and it aired only once in the whole wide world and that was when it first aired in Japan.

It was banned due to strobing and lighting effects that endued convulsing. The ep has thus been fixed, but it never airs due to that.

Exactly. But since it was able to be fixed, people should be able to see this episode so they can learn about an old episode of the older Pokemon show. Like I said, I'm not a Pokemon fan but people should learn about this episode.

The japanese goverment alltogether banned the episode. There's never been a "fixed" version or anything the one thats certainly on the internet that i watched caused me issues and straoned my eyes but i didn't go into a seiszure. And since then porygon the pokemon has mever apeared in the anime again. Guess thats what happens when 500 kids have to go to the hospital for watching an anime.

Theres a bunch of episodes that have been banned from airing in the us, like the legend of dratini that showed a guy pointing a gun at ash's head. Or the older jinx episodes before the redisgn since many found her design was insensative and a form of black face.

Other than that. That japanese and english animes are pretty much the same so regardless of what one you watch you don't miss out on much in terms of translation.
