| So. Ive had this iphone 5c for ages but recently i decided to try and add music to it from itunes. I downloaded itunes onto my laptop, burned cd's i own into my itunes library by using my old itunes account from 2012. And my phone isnt being recognised by itunes at all. Yet the computer recognises it and says its connected i think? This is what i see. Forgive the terrible screenshots. - Spoiler:
this is what i see on my phone when i plug inthe usb to the computer. - Spoiler:
no icon is appearing in itunes. Ive tried looking at things on the internet but so far after an hour of trying to get it to connect. Nothing is working. Help. Update: it turns out the reason its not being recognised is cause my computer isnt recognising my phone. It recognises my usb when i plug it in when looking at device manager. Is there a way to make it possible for my computer to recognise my phone? [spoiler] [spoiler]

| When was the last time you have updated iTunes on your computer? If you have an older version of iTunes on your computer then what's on your iPhone that might be the problem. (I also have a iPhone 5c and my iTunes on my laptop is version 11, not the newest but its works with my iPhone.) | |

| If you're on a PC, do you have latest iTunes app from http://iTunes.com. If not download and install it then see if it recognizes your phone. If this does not work try the following: 1. Ensure the phone is NOT "locked" meaning enter your passcode to unlock it then connect to computer via USB 2. Try a different cable. Often times a faulty cable is to blame 3. Try a different port 4. Loose the hub. If you're connecting through an external YSB hub try plugging directly into your laptop or tower 5. Along with all of the above try to connect then in the iPhone, a message box asking to trust this computer. Choose trust. This kind of goes along with number one above since it usually shows up shortly after connecting while unlocked. If any other queries please keep us updated | |
