The Central Courtyard

The Central Courtyard is a large open space at the center of the school where students can sit and spend their free time. A Well through which the tunnels connecting Alfea, Red Fountain and Cloud Tower to each other can be accessed. When the moonlight shines on it, the well opens a portal, which leads to another dimension with lots water, where the map of the Infinite Ocean can be seen. A Public Square where functions such as the beginning of year and graduation ceremonies are done. It also serves as a landing space for flying ships.

Raquelle walked in on Alfea's Courtyard. To think this is the same school that hid a runaway fugitive who later on killed a new fairy! She thought, remembering the news story she did earlier in the day about it. "Now isn't anybody here to welcome me?" She asked out loud.

Artemis whiped her brow as she stepped back from the metal array she had been working on. A cilinder was added to the side now that seemed to glow softly as she placed her hand on it "come lady, sing for me" she spoke softly and started booting the machine up again. Its gears and clicking sounds echoing over the courtyard as the mechanical part woke from its slumber again to incorporate the newest addition of a record translater so now vocal messages could be recieved and translated to binary for the electrical part of the construction.

As she stepped back from it and smiled she heared the other girl talking loudly to herself "in a moment!" She called out before rubbing her hands together as if to create a charge before giving the machine a big jolt of electricity and got it running again "yes!" She cheered and let it get on sending her pre-recorded message to Verne.

The message sends out with ease. The Machine was running better than it had previously.

"There you are young lady" Griselda said, walking towards the new student. It was unusual for her to be this soft towards students, but it was evening after all.
"Welcome to Alfea College for Fairies." she continued" I'm Miss Griselda and I register new students here. What is your name young lady?"

Artemis whiped her oil-stained hands on a rag she usually had in use for that and saw that Griselda approached the new student. She had little experience with her apart from the moments she fried some school propperty. Deciding not to draw attention to herself she just waited for a reply from home and watched the two in the courtyard.

The array soon releases a beeping noise and voice message issues, "Waiting details of materials and people that will be coming to Jule and a time when they will arrive to set up this device you spoke of in last message."

Artemis gasps as she jumps around and hugs the machine "oh thanks the goddesses!" She exclamates and starts working on saving the message on a dataroll as well as broadcasting it to all who was involved in the development of the array so they knew what was going on.

"Okay... This is crucial" she mumbled and took out her old recorded message and hooked it into her recorder "I do not know the full details yet, but I shall try to have the full list as soon as possible" she spoke into it the registrator before shutting it off and listening to it. Pausing at the end for a few moments before getting an idea and swtiched it to recording again "could you send me the song of the tempest? I miss it greatly and it would be of value of both me as well as the culture of Verne" she concluded before relistening her message once more and nodded in agreement to herself

"Now in you go" she chuckled and placed the message into the array and checked the settings before empowering the mechanical part and grinning "aaaand send!" She gave a good punch on the nice big red button she made last time

Artemis smiles happly, humming the song she requested and let out a deep sigh soon after. Leaning against the machine with her eyes closed to hold back some tears of happyness.

The machine beeps and whistles as the gears move. The message would probably be a bit longer to get there.
