The Central Courtyard

First topic message reminder :

The Central Courtyard is a large open space at the center of the school where students can sit and spend their free time. A Well through which the tunnels connecting Alfea, Red Fountain and Cloud Tower to each other can be accessed. When the moonlight shines on it, the well opens a portal, which leads to another dimension with lots water, where the map of the Infinite Ocean can be seen. A Public Square where functions such as the beginning of year and graduation ceremonies are done. It also serves as a landing space for flying ships.

"But really loud though." Amara said rubbing her ears though.

"You could sing Hello Kitty by Avril Lavigne." Cadence suggested out loud, going through some of her celebrity news feed.

"Good idea! Come, come, kitty, kitty, you're so pretty, pretty!" Chandra started singing.

Rayla gave a fake smile, trying to hide her discomfort in chandra's singing. it wasn't that it was bad, it was just really.....really REALLY loud. plus the song wasn't Rayla's cup of tea
"great Chandra" Rayla lied, trying to give her a compliment "just great....maybe sing a more appealing song though?"

"Maybe she should sing something her cousin likes." Lena says in a very sarcastic tone. She was looking out the windows, watching the trees pass by.

"Hahaha Cadence, I didn't notice you were here. Not like anyone notices you" Kat simpered as she gave a fake smile.

"You guys, I have a song!" Kat said as she stood up and clapped. Suddenly the song "Party In The USA" was playing in the bus

"So I put my hands up, they’re playing my song. The butterflies fly away, I’m nodding my head like yeah. Moving my hips like yeah!" Kat danced to the song as she lip synced the lyrics as well.

rayla give a disappointing look towards Katherine, her comments about the pop star seemed father harsh and rude.
"kat.. what is with you?" she asked folding her arms. "you're more rude than usual, you gotta be more considerate of others feelings."

The bus containing the witches arrives at back Alfea and the small group of women step off with their luggage.

Breanne wonders where she is going to sleep as she gets off, "It best be with a group of fairies I can torment."

"Welcome to Alfea young ladies and welcome back to at least two of you. I am Griselda, head of student affairs. The week you spend here will allow you to better understand fairies and learn from our perspective. You will find things here will not be like Cloud Tower. Now for your assigned rooms." She begins handing out slips of paper. Ruby is in Diane's room of course and Breanne is assigned to dorm 5 to take Chandra's place.

Nearly four weeks after arriving at Alfea Artemis, together with many other technically talented individuals, managed to construct an array that could send a message straight to Jule.
It consisted of a large brass dish on the top of one of Alfeas tower that was connected to an array build at ground level on the inside of the courtyard against one of the walls. It consisted of an ever ticking machine that was a hybrid between mechanical and electrical technology. Having both an input and display in Vernians tech as well as an integrated computer that would allow those without knowlage of the Vernian computer language to send and recieve messages to Jule.

Now that it was switched on Artemis would be sitting on the bench in front of it, holding her fingers crossed as she had send out several messages to home that also included the wavelenght code that was optimal for a transmission between Jule and Magix.
Her first message to home was a simple one that was allways used to test a communication at Verne 'The sun shines bright' it read. If a responce was given it would return with 'and creates a shadow'
