The Central Courtyard

First topic message reminder :

The Central Courtyard is a large open space at the center of the school where students can sit and spend their free time. A Well through which the tunnels connecting Alfea, Red Fountain and Cloud Tower to each other can be accessed. When the moonlight shines on it, the well opens a portal, which leads to another dimension with lots water, where the map of the Infinite Ocean can be seen. A Public Square where functions such as the beginning of year and graduation ceremonies are done. It also serves as a landing space for flying ships.

Stella walks a few paces towards a bench to sit down, but as she turns she takes notice of the new girl and her clothing. "Excuse me, I have a fashion emergency to attend to." She quickly walks over to Photonis, smiling at her kindly, "Welcome to Alfea and where did you get that...outfit. What a nightmare it is. Maybe myself, my intern or Amara could give you some help with getting an updated look. That green look, it's so you."

With the bubbling light fairy suddenly approaching her Photonis didn't quite know what to do. She was never approached like this in the scraplands and her apprehension caused her to take a step back from Stella while trying to assess if she was a threat or not and if any reaction was required. "Who... What?" she uttered somewhat confused.

When she got over her initial shock she remembered a couple of things about some of the books she read about the magical dimension, it wasn't the cutthroat environment she was used to and by far the biggest chance was that this girl wouldn't mean any harm to her. She relaxed a bit and sighed deeply showing relief. "Sorry for that, I come from Spaika's Scraplands, it's quite... well... different," she said, still sounding apprehensive but not as much as before. "And I';m afraid I don't have any money, I had to use all my savings to get out of The Scraplands and find my way here. So I can't give you anything in return." Her statement hinted to the fact that she knew nothing came for free, ever.

Stella gives the girl a curious look, for a moment at Photonis' behavior. At the mention of Spaika, the blonde's face turns to a serious one. She had heard a few stories from her father of the place and she didn't like it at all. "You don't have to worry about paying for whatever clothes I'm going to give you. I never really ask for payment with any of the fashion I design. So how about I give you a new outfit?" Stella's voice held kindness it in it and her eyes a gentle warmth. She was at least trying to make this girl feel welcome.

A small smile formed on Photonis' face. "I would really like that, one request though, I only wear outfits that match in color, like all the green I've got now," she said cautiously yet sounding a bit happy at the same time. "By the way, who do I talk to if I want to study here? I've read something about a headmistress Faragonda but that book must be at least twenty years old, is she still in charge around here?"

"All one color I can do, that won't be much trouble for me." Stella grins, thinking about what she could make for the girl. "Ms. Faragonda been in charge of Alfea for at least a hundred years, you can find her office on the second floor and you can't miss it." The blonde taps her foot a bit, but points her finger at the girl, a orange swirl of magic rotating around Photonis' body changing her clothing.

Photonis twirled to look at herself, for the first time in a very long time she had clothes that wouldn't be considered to be rags. Her weak smile of before now turned as wide as a mile while her eyes glistened with tears coming up. "Thank you so much!" She said and didn't quite know what to do now so she just decided to introduce herself; "My name is Photonis Nano," she said reaching out a hand with visibly dirty nails.

"You're most welcome sweetie." Not minding a bit of dirt, Stella takes the girls hand with an equally bigger smile, "Stella Lunius, Princess of Solaria."

"Oh wow, you're a princess?" she said somewhat astonished and made an attempt to a curtsy but fumbled in her attempt. "I guess I should seek out miss Faragonda and see if I can attend Alfea, at least you've made me look presentable, so once again thank you very much for that!" she said casting a sincere smile towards Stella.

Stella nods to her with a smile, "Yup, I'm a princess, but you don't have to act all proper. I'm sure Miss Faragonda will allow you. Anyone can attend this school." She was glad the girl like the new clothing, "Well I'm just glad I could do some small part to help, so you're most welcome. If you need any other clothing just ask."

"I guess I have to get used to my new environment a bit, and I could use more than one outfit to be fair. All my other clothes really aren't in any better shape than those I was wearing," she admitted, seeming slightly ashamed of it.
