"You've been conditioned to expect the worse where you're from. You haven't been here long enough to drop that defensive barrier." The man utters, knowing full well it probably wouldn't just disappear.

Artemis actually looked quiet amused "to be honest I'd be delighted" she stated "my powers have been nothing but trouble for me" she filled in "although here the most don't evade me like I've got some terrible disease" she added with a mumble and sighed a bit "but hey, i'm sure you'll be fine... Heck, you got a mean punch" she clearly would have a bruise on her cheek for a while.

Photonis would still look a bit scared, but strangely it was Artemis who gave the most reassurance by telling her the punch stung. "Well, I guess I'm going to have to live a day without my magic," she said apprehensively while she got up and reverted back to her normal form, still wearing those god awful way too cute pajamas.

Artemis gave a bit of a smile "hey, if it's possible I,d gladly swap powers with you. That lightshow is far safer than being a living.... Well.... What I got" she finally managed to get her power levels back to normal "but anyhow. I wanted to say I really love your pyjamas before you punched me right on the face" she added, trying to lighten the spirits again "did you make it yourself?"

"No thank you, I'm rather attached to my lasers," she said apprehensively, finding Artemis' suggestion very odd. "And I had to borrow these from someone and adjust their size with magic. Apparently sleeping commando isn't accepted here in this place."

Artemis smiled "well, if anyhting I allways just get a baggy shirt and shorts on. But you adjusted the size by magic? Could you show me how?" She asked "I've actually had to get an old sowing machine to make something I could wear without feeling all wierd" she laughed a bit, apparently she made her own outfits.

"I don't know how, some blonde girl did it. I think she also teaches... fashion?" Photonis said and shrugged, the entire concept seemed rather alien to her. "She was also kind enough to fix those rags I brought with me to look half decent." It was strange to have a casual conversation with someone she was trying to beat up mere minutes ago.

Artemis tought deeply "you mean the one" she threw her own hair over her shoulder and tried to mimic Stellas voice as much as she could "oh no! Retro is soooooo outdated"

Photonis looked a bit bewildered and shrugged with a disdained face. "I don't know, I never heard her say that but I can't deny some slight resemblance," she said. Before she had come to this realm she had deemed such a person an utter impossibility, or a corpse.
