Dormitory Seven

First topic message reminder :

This dorm is occupied by only Natalie, Vanessa, Mystique, Raquelle, Rainie and Genevieve. It's very homey.

Rainie nods to herself, walking through the living space and towards a door. She opens it and peeks inside. When she sees that it is already being occupied, she closes the door and moves on. She comes to another one and opens it, finding it empty.

The room is large, larger than what Rainie is used to, although she quickly sees why. The room consists of two beds, two closets, two desks (with accompanying chairs, obviously), and two book shelves. She also notices that there are some school supplies on one of the desks.

"Do you know who's already in this one?" Rainie asks Genevieve, pointing at the desk.

Rainie glances back at the unused bed, silently deciding what her next option would be. She could go and see if there was another empty bed that was single, but what if there wasn't? She'd then have to deal with whoever else was using that room. At least she'd met Genevieve, so she's more familiar with her.

"Alright. I guess I'll room with you," Rainie says, placing her backpack on the bed.

Genevieve saw a bit of hesitation in her actions, is she possibly regretting this choice now? Genevieve felt that Rainie might have grudgingly decided to stay with her, but she drops the thought as she believes Rainie could have easily went to look for other rooms if she didn't want to accompany her.

"That's great, I'm sure we'll have great time over the rest of the year."

Rainie glances back at Genevieve, but then back to her bed, placing the luggage that is in her other hand on it as well.

We'll see, she thinks dimly.

She doesn't voice her thoughts out loud, and simply walks over to Genevieve to take the rest of her luggage from her roommate.

"Thanks for helping me bring these up, but you should go to class before you get in trouble," Rainie suggests. "I'll head to my classes after I unpack."

"Are you sure you can find the classes alone? You can ask me to stay a little to accompany you if you want."

"Thank you for the offer, but I don't want to get you into more trouble. Plus, this may take a while," Rainie says, subconsciously looking over at her backpack. Unknown to Genevieve, but Rainie's friends are hiding in the backpack, eagerly awaiting to see their new home.

She wants to help. Be nice, a voice from the backpack says into Rainie's mind.

Rainie closes her eyes and sighs. Her toys were always trying to get her to befriend people, and they wouldn't relent. And of course they've been paying attention to what's been happening.

"I can...meet up with you for lunch if you want?" Rainie offers, trying to find a middle ground with the girl.

"Sure, I'd love to. Well then I'll be going now, take care."

As she said that, she faintly smiles at Rainie as she leaves the room to head to gym class.

Rainie waits until she can no longer see Genevieve before walking over to her backpack and opening it. She pulls out three plush-toys: a lion, a tiger, and a bear. She snaps her fingers, and sparkles appear around the three stuffed toys. The toys blink and move on their own.

"So this is our new home?" the bear asks.

"Yes, Mogar," Rainie answers the toy. "Now help me unpack."

"You could have asked that lady to do it," the tiger pipes up, hopping on one of the luggage's and operating the zipper with his mouth.

"She's got class and I didn't want to start off the semester badly this time, alright X-Ray?" Rainie explains to the toy, taking out the clothes from the luggage X-Ray had opened.

"Don't be so hard on yourself Rainie," the lion comforts, putting a paw on her arm. "Things will be different; you'll see. You just have to believe it."

Rainie sighs, moving to the closet to hang up her clothing.

"We'll see Gavvy," she says despondently. "We'll see."

The rest of the unpacking goes rather smoothy and the rest of the dorm is calm. Voices from the courtyard of the older students do however float in from the window.
