First topic message reminder :

A forest. A usual green forest. But the truth about its magic is that this whole forest is made up out of evergreen plants. It's said if you spend some time here, your body will magically become energetic.

The bird isn't able to fly off in time and is knocked back several feet, with its feathers on fire. The bird skids across the ground into the strange oozy liquid on the perimeter of the area.

Asami noticing the bird, spotted the purple liquid, it didn't look natural. "Are you sure you want to eat the bird, even after being covered in this sunstance? " she called out at photonis, as she walked closer towards the ooze to get a closer look.
is this substance alive? she thought to herself I've never ancountered anything like this before.

[Narrative for Gene's group]
A couple of meters away from where the group was clustered a shimmering column of iridescent blue rose quickly. Something moved within the shroud and produced an ear piercing screech deafening everyone briefly (Except those with some kind of sonic/sound resistance).

Once the shroud clears a horrible conglomeration of what seems to be a wasp and a katydid reveals. Mandibles that look like it can crush steel, four sets of wings and barbed legs looking as if able to grind a rock to powder in a matter of seconds. At its abdomen a viscous stinger showed, venom dripping on the forest ground hissed and produced small strands of smoke to rise from the forest's floor. The vicious looking horror fixed its eyes on the group, seeming ready to pounce any second.

"Is there anything we can like, use for crutches or something?" Diane asks, scanning around for some large branches to use.

Genevieve and Rainie cover their ears but only when it was extremely late. The duo face trouble hearing for several moments before acknowledging an ominous danger is in front of them.

"W-Bugs?!" Genevieve exclaimed.

Roll and Zing cringe at the noise while Layla releases a howl of pain due to her more sensitive hearing. The red haired man turns to look for the source of the noise and his gaze slowly raises as the monster comes into his vision, looking for any kind of weakness it would have, "Aside a really big can of Raid, any ideas on how we are going to take this thing on?" The young man jumps back several feet, unsheathing his sword slowly.

Layla runs back to the group and Zing flies up above Roll, her hands out. "I'll do what I can to help!" The pixies hands glow a dull green, trying to summon any number of bugs and insects to the groups aid.

The oozy liquid is suddenly thrown into the air by a set of powerful wings and the liquidy substance splashes over two other birds similar to the one Photonis had red beamed that are passing by. That same bird that Photonis had hit raises up from the ooze, now several times larger with burning black eyes. Its wings are now pure silver and they looks razor sharp. It now has four sets of talons which crackle with electrical power. The bird cries out as the follows that were splashed with the ooze begin to change into the exact same type of beast.

Zaflore shook her head and pretty much right there and then something went horribly wrong as she saw massive birds forming. "I think crutches are something of later concern. Staying alive might be more important," Zaf said as she looked almost panicked towards Diane.

Ruby was still fairly out of it and couldn't walk, so staying alive for her would be a struggle.

"What about Ruby? Zaf, help me carry her!" Diane panicked and tried to scoop up her sister.

Genevieve transforms and prepares herself for battle. Rainie follows.

"I don't know where those bugs came from but they aren't aiming to any good!" Genevieve said, throwing an orb of magic at the bug to test its endurance.

"If we carry her, we're all three sitting ducks. We can't defend ourselves. If we let her lay there, and keep off the birds as long as possible and perhaps even distract them for the others to hit on, our chances are a lot better," Zaf said thinking on her feet. Already feeling vulnerable she wasn't at all willing to give up her very last line of defense, her ability to cast spells.

[Photonis]
Photonis cursed violently as she saw the birds grow, especially the one she previously shot with a laser. "That's... not a dinner bird," she said with a strangled voice. Unwilling to await the bird's first move, she sent a volley of one red and one yellow laser towards the bird she already shot once in order to swiftly gain the upper hand in the fight.

[Narrative for Gene's group.]
The horrific insect still several meters away turned with its back to the group, though not because it wanted to flee. It rubbed massive barbed hind legs against one another to shoot a cone of hundreds of tiny needles moving at blistering speed towards the group in order to soften up its prey. (It's only one bug, bug. A big and mean one tho)

The orb of magic inbound for the monstrous insect seemed to knock it around a little, though left it mostly unfazed, nor did it do anything to deter the monster's attack.
