Technically Christmas is a pagan holiday adopted by early Christians in the 3rd or 4th century CE. Jesus wasn't even born in December- my friend's religion (Eastern Orthodox) believes he was born in the Spring and celebrates Christmas in April. So we all really celebrate a late winter solstice that was adopted by the emperor Constantine to convert people to Christianity
