| I don't think there are any age limits in this forum nor its host. Though, sites that I've been to were really strict with their age limits, and have to followed the COPPA rules to prevent kids under the age of 13 to enter, which is a lot similar to some adult sites that I've been to. I dunno, I've seen some kids getting on deviantART and hid their ages to prevent getting banned and I've seen some of them get temporary [I hope] banned from the site when they accidentally posted their real age on there. However, most of the sites that I've been to got their user accounts banned and deleted for being underage, like Tumblr for example. It maybe sound unfair, but I really wish most sites were really respectful with some minors, including their users. | |

| There's no age limit to join. But topics should be kid-friendly and honestly I don't read lots of topics outside my moderation area and from what I see that. Well. I don't see anything mature about Mental Illness. It's a thing adults understand quicker than kids. It's a topic talked by adults and not by kids but it's still a kid-friendly talk. Adults only think of it or whatsoever doesn't matter because it's PG. Even if kids don't understand it it's still PG topic. | |

Do you have any idea how many PG movies kids go to and how many PG moments kids experience? The Winx Club is considered PG. I think saying that I shouldn't talk about certain things is a thinly veiled way to say that I'm not welcome here because of my age. The same with being told constantly that 'this is a children's message board' I was being told that by someone who also told me I should respect them simply because of who they are. That isn't fair, that is ageism. It's a form of discrimination and bullying. As someone who does suffer from bi-polar and whose daughter has a schizophrenic paternal grandmother I feel that it is a necessity for children to understand why someone acts a certain way or does something that isn't considered normal. In that thread I explained some things. I never said to self diagnose. I said if you have a problem or if someone seems to have a problem, offer help, tell them where to go to find help. Try to be there for the person. That isn't something that should be considered too adult. If you keep censoring everything, you'll have an entire generation of kids too sheltered to deal with the real world. Yourselves included.

| Honestly...I'm not sure I understand your post really besides the part about kids should be more educated about that. Sorry but that's all I understood :l. On the other hand, topics should remain PG under all circumstances and your topic wasn't anything none PG at all so I suggest you tell the other moderators or people or whoever told you you shouldn't talk about mental illness. | |

Okay I had to re-read what you said. I did talk with the ones who had said it and the person who completely misunderstood what I was saying in the first place. I just feel that sometimes there is a lot of confusion with people not even wanting to talk or find out something, just make an assumption and jump to a conclusion. I think that's why some people have an issue with me as well, because I don't just take things at face value. I do ask questions, that's how I've learned so much.

| I've asked this question myself a few times because when I first started posting, I felt age-shamed, as if I was too old to be a Winx Fan, too old to be part of this forum and should leave. That was pretty hurtful. I mod a Winx forum on FF.net, it's open to everyone over thirteen and we manage to keep it accessible to everyone from the 13 year olds to the 50 somethings. You say this forum should be kid friendly, but adult friendly, it's not. And I'm not trying to start a fight, I'm just stating how I've been made to feel and how I've seen other adults treated. | |

| I've felt the same way Zadien. Especially in light of recent events when I was told that 'people like me' should do this or not do that and certain things should have 'been expected of someone my age.' I don't feel that I'm being shown respect while being expected to show respect for other members simply because I don't go with the flow and agree with everyone.
This board should be open to all ages and all members should be respected regardless of their age or opinions.

| I do have to agree with both of you. While they're some adults in this forum, there are some kids that were ready to understand and learn more things about it, and if they don't understand, we might answer their questions and so on. Sure, we do have a few kids here and made mistakes, but guess what? Everyone made mistakes. As for not allowing adults in some kids forums, I found it pretty unnecessary since they're are some adults that wanted to get on the forums again, but throwing the age limit and not allowing adults back in is the most stupidest thing that they've ever done. I know it's for safety reasons, but there are some adults wanted to go back there and see their old friends again.
Also: You never get old with Winx Club. Just because you're an adult, doesn't mean that you stop watching it. This forum exists for fans of all ages, both old and new fans are still welcome in here. (And sorry if I sound like an Admin, but I used to host a forums back in the past until they stop being active and I had to closed it down just because. I guess this is just a habit...?)

| You know, sometimes, I see kids younger than my age ask me what my age is, and I tell them. They laugh at me because I still like Winx. I mean, what is wrong there? I hate ageism.
By the way, I understand what you guys try to talk about. But I'll try to suggest what Kyraii suggested to the staff team. Maybe we could fix this problem, and make it children-friendly, teenager-friendly, and adult-friendly.
Like what someone have suggested before, why not give a warning on the title of the topic? So that the children will know that they wouldn't like the topic.
