Why are people hating on Bloom and Bloomix?

In my opinion, I think it was sweet how Bloom shared her powers to her best friends due to them losing their powers. Plus, I think that with Bloomix, they won't be losing their powers anytime soon, since they all have part of the Dragon Flame with them, the dis-extinguishable power of the DF. So I think people should look at the bright side, and the fact that the girls are all now part Dragon Flame fairies, thus making them all powerful on some basis.

I was under no assumptions that Winx Club wasn't going to be about Bloom; anyone who was needs to watch more of these "girls-as-a-group" shows or even the Power Rangers because only a handful keep the attention on the characters equally. However, with the number of main characters, they obviously chose the one to be the center. I was under no delusion of that.

It is simply annoying that her character, after so many seasons, is still coming off sueish. At this point, her character should have more depth, but all I get when I see her is 2-Dimensional.

I really don't care what she calls the transformation. Sure it may come off narcissistic, but it makes sense; her name is Bloom, she gave them powers, done.

It had substance. It was more appealing because it had depth.

In Sailor Moon everyone got some screen time, attention and individual episodes. Straffi should go back and watch that. In the first season we learned more about Sailor Venus/ Aino Minako and how she'd quit being Sailor V to come back to Japan. We learned bits and pieces of all the senshi from the comics and from the anime. Even the first movie focused on everyone, not just Usagi. If you have good writers, it is possible to focus on more than just the main character and her annoying boyfriend.

If Straffi wasn't going to have Winx Club be about more than just Bloom he should have kept it at 'Magica Bloom' instead of fooling fans into thinking that we'd get to learn more about the other characters. My friend Stills had the perfect story about how Winx Club really is and it was up even before season 5 aired (Link to fanfic removed by Flame Melody. Reason: Inappropriate words.)

[size=16The fact that Bloom is the only one not to lose her powers at the end of the third episode and now has gifted her friends irks my nerves and makes me want to hurl vile epitaphs at the writers for this season simply because it was a terrible move. Especially since this character is really not as popular as the creators of this show like to think she is. My 9 year old hates her- my 2 year old... well my two year old likes to eat things off the floor, so do you really want to trust her opinion? The fact that the reason this new transformation is called Bloomix because it comes from Bloom really ruins this season for me. God, even Daria made it mostly about Jane when she hooked up with Tom for a while.[/size][/color]

It's true that Bloom has gotten more spotlight, but hating on the character isn't gonna do much to be honest. I love Bloom and all, but I don't blame her as a character, she's merely just a character, and I find it really irritating that people are hating on her because of the writer's faults. Clearly, people need to stop hating on BLoom, and hate more on the writers. Winx club needs a better writer. I like the fact that Bloom receives spotlight as the leader of the group, and I'm fine with her keeping her powers because it is the Dragon Flame, but I think that the others do deserve more. What I'm merely trying to say is, I wish that everyone would stop hating on Bloom the character, because she isn't self aware, she's just a character, and myself being aware, I feel pity for her.

As for your friend's fan fic, no offense ( and i hope you wont get mad) but I seriously HATED IT. The way how she wrote it, doesn't even reflect anywhere near Bloom's personality, it looks more of Mitzi. I also find it disgusting how racist and stereotypical it is, and how it just basically portrays Bloom as this monster that people should hate. That is the kind of stuff that makes others hate on Bloom. I find it silly that people would say "I HATE BLOOM I WANNA REMOVE HER!" because if Bloom was self-aware, she would've probably done something to end her life because of the amount of bullying she receives, so maybe your friend should also look at it on a realistic perspective, the fact that if Bloom is self aware, then yeh, she might say all those stuff, but the moment she fins how much hates she has, she will do something you all will regret, and I speak of this by putting myself in BLoom's shoes (I'm an actor) and safe to say, if we are relating to awareness, then this is clearly bullying on all the haters part.

People can hate Bloom as a fictional caracter, that doesn't matter. Of course is not Bloom's fault but if everyone loved her, that wouldn't be her fault neither. Or love AND hate, or nothing.
And for me this is not because of Bloom, if there was a transformation like Florix or Stellix I wouln'd like it neither. I don't expect Winxs to have the same screen time at all, I'm fine with the lider. But in my opinion Bloomix was too much for Bloom, I think even her will dislike it!! I wouldn't like my friends to have a transformation with my name or any other member it feels weird

It is their fault; it's why I said so earlier in my posts. I'm disappointed that people are getting paid to make a Sue character.

Not understanding why we're not allowed to feel anger for/towards her yet you can feel pity for/towards her as well as love her but whatever. A double standard, I guess.

Again, you argue she's not sentient, yet you argue on the side that she is alive and that everyone who has a problem with her is a bad guy. Am I not allowed to be upset with her characterization?

I think it was sweet how Bloom shared the dragon flame. I was totally okay with Bloom not losing her powers because to me it seemed like the dragon flame was now useless since it was hardly ever mentioned except during transformation.

I think its dumb to hate bloom because she's a made up character for pete's sake! If you guys hate how Bloom is always getting the spotlight then please complain to the writers. :roll:

Sorry, I hadn't read it in a while myself. I don't even remember what words she had in it. I just know it was funny and Bloom does come across as self absorbed. My How Bloom Became the Lead Singer also takes pot shots at that persona as well as season 4 and the second movie. Is it okay if I edit the other post to just include the title and have other people decide if they want to look it up on fanfiction?

John, calm down, she's a badly designed 2/3D character who has been made about as deep as a stick of butter and as likeable as toenail fungus to many other fans of the show. Everyone including yourself is entitled to their opinions as well as being able to respect others. Not liking Bloom does not make the rest of us terrible people It just makes the rest of us people getting irritated with a black hole mary sue.

It's not that I HATE Bloom, I just don't like her. She kinda creeps me out with how Sue-ish she is. She doesn't have much of a deep personality, or at least, lately she doesn't. Unlike Flora and Musa who have deeper personalities. Stella, Aisha, and Tecna are somewhere in the middle.
