I watched the hideous event unfold . Lily was in the midst of the most ungraceful spill. My plate of food and my soda flew everywhere as Lily herself went straight down. Immediately, I went into crisis mode . I put my empty tray on the table, took a deep breath, pushed my hair behind my ears, and locked my teal bangle high on my arm so it wouldn't bang against mu wristbone. Then I marched over to the scene. People were gawking and pointing at teary-eyed Lily. I waved the gaggle of giggling students off with a breezy, " Oh , come on, like you've never seen someone fall? " I leaned over and offered Lily my hand and I and helped her get up. Thats when I heard Maggie coming and pointed to the bathroom she understood and followed us . "Okay, young lady, " I said as I went through Lily's purse, extracting all the needed supplies : lip gloss, shimmery shadow, and of course, hair spary. 5 mintues later, Mrs.Brandy told everyone we are going to earth because it was a important misson everybody started packing right away . "Ok , everyone into the portal" Mrs. Brandy said loudly . When we go to earth Mrs. Brandy and the staff told me, Jasmine, Lily and Maggie to go have fun since we already have our powers and that we are seinors. "I'm still embarresed " Lily said sadly . "It's ok " Maggie said proudly "lets just not talk about it " replied Jamine. I knew I would get my friend through this. They all would. We went to go get some boots because winter was alomst here. I saw the most beautiful pair of boots that was ever created. Ever. Leather, with a lace-up on the back and gorgeously embroidered flowers up the side. They were divine. I headed toward them, my hand outstretched, in serious need of a TE [textrural experience] . Just as I made contact and shivered in delight, something caught my eye its was Britteny. What was I supposed to do now? I hated having weridness with anyone, and this was going to be werid. I just knew it. But I squared my shoulders, picked up the boots, and walked over to Britteny, who was looking at the frumpiest pair of Keds I had ever had the misfortune of encountering. "Hi! " I said. Britteny looked up with a grimace " Oh hi" . I stuck the boots in between us, trying to make a friendly conversation. "Have you seen these boots? Aren't they cute ? " . " Your Kiara, right? " snarled Britteny. "No, i'm Kayla". I mean really? I knew Britteny had said the wrong name on purpose. That's when I saw Lily, Maggie and Jamine at the cash register I walked over to them I was upset then Lily and Maggie say Britteny and they knew why I was upset then they got mad. "Nuh- uh! we're not going to just stand by and let out kind, but socially challenged, BFF! be picked on and treated like a sniveling pushoverby some egotistical, fashion- obsessed diva" that was Lily talking but then Maggie started to talk . "Sorry Kayla but even insecure scardey-pants with low self-esteem totally deserves to be treated with kindness and respect, Kayla!" . "And i'm not going tp let her talk to you like that! " replied Jasmine . I just stared at the in disbelief I could not believe they actually said all of that stuff. Omg! those were the nicest compliments i'd ever received in my entire life!. I don't deserve friends like Jamine, Lily and Maggie they are the best friends ever!. We walked out of the mall and we saw the rest of the students and the staff and we all walked into the poratal next thing I knew we were back at school and we all went to our cabins. | |
