OMG! I love the Sword of Truth series! Thank you for making this topic. I read all 11 books in the series! Richard and Kahlan are such a good couple. They go off and fight to defeat the evil Lord Rahl and the Mord Sith!

You guys should totally read it if you're like the sci-fi type. I really enjoyed reading the books.

You guys should also watch the TV series. (Not to go off topic.) Well the show is particularly for kids but it's called The Legend of the Seeker. Too bad it ended after it's second season.

Are you aware that they really only fight Darken Rahl in the 1st book and that the Mord-Sith are on Richard's side for most of the series. O Terry Goodkind came out with The Omen Machine which comes after Confessor and The First Confessor: The Legend of Magda Searus which is a prequel to the series, I have yet to read that one yet. and it is a fantasy series not sci-fi. And Legend of the Seeker is not targeted for kids. Just want to get have the right facts.

Lol. Yeah, I know it's not targeted for kids. It's just that I'm in love with the series. I think that it was well written and more people should read it.

I like the series too, maybe I'm not going crazy about it, there's a bit too much unnecessary violence as for me and there is little drift with some characters towards Mary Sue category, but still nice to read.

And yeah Legend of Magda Searus is prequel, which takes place couple centuries (millennia) before the SoT and though it got some harsh reviews I actually enjoyed it ^^

BTW the tv series- although they drift a lot from
books, I'm not sure if I don't like bit more and I love Bridget Regan as
Kahlan and Tabrett Bethell as Cara!

No it's not Very Happy

it's a story of young wood guide- Richard, who one day witness tall woman being attack by a group of bandits. He helps her and sees as she uses magic, cause she's in fact mother confessor, who seeks a mage to name new seeker of truth. So happens Richard becomes the seeker and decided to go with Kahlan, the confessor to help her stop Darken Rahl, ruler of D'Hara and that's how the book 1 starts Very Happy
