I know the following does not technically count as "fan art" but I figured that I'd show the application of the above image on our network. I did this in a lab (meaning these are not actual pictures of my actual work computer screens). I run a specialized tool called VMWare to allow me to run virtual labs on my laptop for testing things and the like, this is where the following screen captures come from (showing my actual screen not a lab would get me written up, whereas showing lab screens is OK as they can be used for to illustrate to customers processes)
Note that for security reasons, even though this is a lab environment (screen shots not actually taken on company computers but rather in VMWare machines) I avoided using actual employee details (e.g. actual login information or names) or opening any specific tools such as WinxCRM or Lockette portal to ensure that I didn't accidentally capture real customer or company information. any likenesses to persons now living or now dead is completely coincidental and these screen shots were meant to provide as close a representation to company desktop experience as possible, however some details could not be captured due to the fact that i could not replicate all functionality on our actual tools due to time constraints. Functionalities and screens shown here are for illustrative purposes only and actual functionality might be different than functionality on actual company computers.
Screen 1: Corporate Login (Control-Alt-Delete screen)
Screen 2: Croporate Login showing the the ability to login to the local computer or our domain (WINX-CESD-US). The Acronym "CESD" is
Central
Enterprise
Secure
Desktop.
Screen 3: Corporate Login with the fields filled in (username and password created for demonstration purposes). I wish we could get away with being able to login as "WINX-FARAGONDA" but we have a strict username format that I am not allowed to disclose as our one name and password are used to login to so many services on the internal network
Screen 4: default icons on first login
Screen 5: Computer View (notice the name of the H: Drive)
Screen 6: Windows and the start menu: why not? Notice the Start Menu at the top. Normally in the form of "Faragonda, Headmistress" but for ease of reading we custom created that account to read as "Headmistress Faragonda"
Screen 7: Intranet Start Screen for employees. Notice not just the tool names, but look closely at the title bar of the window towards the end "...Internet Explorer Provided by WINX Corporate Desktop" This screen was slightly modified because I couldn't get the code of the actual start screen from our I.T. People in time so I made a rough approximation of the start screen. The actual screen is much more pretty and functional, this is just a simple HTML file.
Hope you all got a kick out of this
