Headmistress Faragonda of Alfea College for Fairies has already explained the requirements for graduating from the Winx’s class level, which was for the graduating fairy to earn the next transformation Enchantix. The requirements for earning Enchantix was to sacrifice one thing held most dear to oneself in one particular instant for the safety and happiness of a civilian from one’s planet. Bloom was deeply concerned. Without all the Winx having Enchantix powers, they can’t possibly defeat Valtor and the Trix once and for all, restoring peace, harmony and security to the Magical Dimension once more. Bloom had no one left to save--her entire home planet, Domino, was completely obliterated by the Ancestral Witches. The planet still exists, but no life exists on it anymore. She doesn’t know where the other members of her family are and she barely even knows much about them, besides vaguely their physical appearance and name. The only people she truly knew as family were Mike and Vanessa back home on Earth. All the other Winx Club fairies have already received their Enchantix powers. She decided to consult some advice from Mrs. Faragonda after classes.
Headmistress Faragonda and Professor Paladium hosted a special event after classes. Each fairy tried out her powers in a solo battle against some ferocious flame monsters that Professor Paladium has unleashed for the occasion specifically. Less monsters were for the weaker fairies; more for the stronger, like the Winx. Finally it was Bloom’s turn. “I must defeat these things, even though I only have Charmix and basic powers. Hiya!” Bloom unleashed such an amount of flames that even she could not control. It obliterated some monsters; scared others to fleeing all over the place. Eventually Professor Paladium had to personally catch the remaining monsters and Mrs. Faragonda shot Bloom down with a magic bullet. Bloom was sent unconscious to the school infirmary.
Bloom woke up a few hours on a couch in the infirmary. Mrs. Faragonda lectured her on the severe consequences of pushing one’s magical powers, and thus one’s body, beyond the limit. Bloom nodded in understanding. “Mrs. Faragonda?”
“Yes dear.”
“I want some advice on how to earn Enchantix.”
“Ah, I understand your situation very well. The only way you may be able to earn Enchantix, due to your strange status quo, is to do so artificially. But remember, as this is an artificial Enchantix, there are some things that the other Winx may be able to do but you won’t.”
“I understand, Mrs. Faragonda, and am willing to undertake the consequences.”
“You must see the old sage who lives in Pyros. Only she can help you in your quest. However, Pyros is a very dangerous planet, full of spontaneously erupting volcanoes and vicious dragons.” Headmistress Faragonda displayed a hologram of the appearance of one area of Pyros.
Bloom’s blood curdled and her sweat ran cold. However, she wasn’t about to give up, not with the threat of Valtor and the Trix. “Ok, I am ready to depart for Pyros.”
“Well then, good luck there, Bloom.” Mrs. Faragonda opened a portal to Pyros and Bloom entered the portal.
Bloom arrived in Pyros. It did seem quite a menacing place. After some wild encounters with the dragons there, she finally caught sight of the sage. She approached the sage. “Hello, my name is Bloom. I’m a fairy of the Dragon Flame. I’m seeking advice on how to artificially earn Enchantix as my home planet, Domino, was obliterated by the Ancestral Witches.”
“Ah, you seek my aid, young fairy? Well, then I shall help you. Let us begin.” the sage warmly replied.
A few hours have passed. “Now, Bloom, you must concentrate all your energy and magic on one spot in your body.”
Bloom grunted with effort as she tried to focus and meditate. It was really difficult for her.
“Come on. With more effort, you can do it.”
Bloom continued grunting. At last, the sage seeing that nothing worked out suggested teleporting Bloom back in time to when the kingdom of Domino still existed, but the Ancestral Witches had already arrived in Domino by then.
“Be prepared, Bloom, to face the danger of the Ancestral Witches. I feel like this is best for you to gain Enchantix. As well, you are gaining true Enchantix, not the artificial one we were just trying to master. This may give you more Enchantix abilities. Good luck on your adventure back home. Remember, do not let your past self die or you will die with her in the past.” She took out a magic sandglass hidden in her robe, recited a few chants and turned something on the sandglass--a dial maybe, and turned the sandglass over upside-down. A portal appeared and Bloom entered it.
Bloom was so happy she could cry. Finally she was back home! However, her blood curdled at the sound of evil cackling behind her back. She whipped around to see the Ancestral Witches behind her.
“Well, where are you going, Princess Daphne of Domino? And which red-headed fairy do we have here?” The entire palace was on flames.
“Daphne? Big sister?” Bloom turned back around and saw Daphne, in the form of a glowing golden disembodied spirit.
“No, Ancestral Witches, I will never let you touch this piece of the Dragon Flame that I have saved!” Daphne retorted to the Witches.
Bloom realizes that she was the Dragon Flame Daphne held in her hands.
“Oh is that so, your highness? We shall destroy your already disembodied soul, along with that Dragon Flame, so that no life shall ever exist on Domino again!” The three Witches cackled and they readied their convergence spell against Daphne. They then launched the powerful attack.
“No, Daphne! I won’t let you die, sister!” Bloom ran in front of Daphne protectively and shielded her. The attack hit Bloom straight in the face and knocked her out. The Dragon Flame and Daphne were unhurt.
“Oh no, what have I done.” Daphne wails. “Young fairy, can you still hear me?”
Bloom’s lifeless body started to glow bright orange. She floated and hovered in the air. Flames started spreading around her, causing the Witches to shield their eyes from the spectacle. Bloom then emerged from the flames as an Enchantix fairy.
