Mattel dolls vs Jakks

First topic message reminder :

I don't know if any of you have collected any of the Mattel dolls, but I have a few and I miss the quality of their dolls vs the Jakks ones which are double the price, but lack the detail of the Mattel ones.

Since I can't really compare the two completely since Mattel stopped making the dolls in 2009 and didn't do the Believix costumes (that was Simba) But I can at least pull up the original Charmix vs Nick Charmix for comparison and we can vote from that.

For me, I will always love the Mattel ones because they're what I started with.

No one ever said you can't like both, but I still prefer the Mattel dolls. They were better quality than Jakks.

I kinda like jacks, even though they're not very accurrate.

:boyfairy: Still now the hair is fixed slightly with the Sirenix dolls, I Prefer the jakks dolls.
Don't get me wrong I love Mattel too but there is something about the jakks dolls that make's me want them, Although they need to stop doing things like city style where they only has stella,flora,bloom and Aisha, I must say though the glam magic Enchantix dolls from mattel are beautiful.

Mattel did that too though. The beach, sleepover and disco lines didn't have Tecna in them. Then the regal lights line only had Flora, Stella, Aisha and Bloom.

For me Mattel is the best. Sounds weird, but their dolls look more normal than other.

Jakks is prettier and they last longer. They seem more expensive too.

though jakks did a good job of the wings, however, for having the details nailed, i go with mattel.

Jakks changes to much. So I actually think the Mattel's are way better.

I love the jakks dolls, I do like the Mattel dolls but I LOVE the jakks dolls better and who cares if they are detailed or not at least they are making them who cares if they are detailed or not
