ok so i have Friends that are not particularly liked by others and im Friends with the people who hate the my friends who are hated. its getting serious cause there always wanting me to pick sides and i'm sick of it. if i pick one side and try to stay friends with the others ill get ridiculed and slated cause they hate the people i hang about with so what should i do ??? any ideas how to stop this so that i'm not hated for who i like ??

Well, if it were me. I'd tell them to stop taking sides. You are who you are and you can be friends with whoever you want. If they don't like your friends, that's their problem, not yours.
Have you tried introducing the "hated" friends to the other friends? They can become friends as well so you wouldn't have this problem.

They are not your boss so hang out with the people you feel that they do understand you!

Personally, I would tell them I am done with their pettiness and stop talking to them for a week. I do not appreciate being used for a tug-of-war, and if that is all I am to them, then they are not really friends.

this happen to me once , in high school
my classmates were cool with me until i ''kinda'' befriend some other girl that wasnt in my class.... the girl had the status of being a ''weirdo'' ..... dont ask why and honestly, she was nice and nothing was wrong with her
so eventually they were like; omg you being friends with her?! grose, are you crazy?! etc etc
........what im trying to say is that, its not fair of people to ask you to take a side people need to learn to let each other just be. Now unless someone got beaten up for real.... then if the ones that beaten someone up still want you to be on their side........ thats another story then it would only be logical, not to take their side as they are then not worth it anymore i mean, who wants to be friends with violent people like that you get what im saying

Play hard to get.Tell them until they don't figure out a solution to their ridiculous problem,you're not gonna pick ANY SIDES.When they make some progress and start to accept each other,you swoop in the middle and live a happy,friendly ending.
