Rainbow has tapped Jakks Pacific for a line of toys based on its animated series “PopPixie.”
Jakks will create dolls, figurines, dress sets and plush for all English-speaking territories, to launch in spring 2014.
Targeted to girls ages 5 to 9, “PopPixie” is broadcast in more than 25 countries in Europe and currently boasts more than 115 licensees for toys, publishing, back-to-school, home entertainment, apparel and fast-moving consumer goods.
“PopPixie has the makings of a breakthrough girl’s franchise with staying power, and we believe it will translate extremely well to toys, dress-up and role play products,” says Jennifer Caveza, senior vice president of marketing, Jakks Pacific. “We believe girls in the U.S. will be drawn to this action-packed, comedy adventure about the fantastic world of pixies.”
“PopPixie” is a comedy-adventure set in a fantastic dimension called Pixieville and inhabited by a group of inseparable friends who become PopPixies when they put on different costumes that give them new powers
