Daphne's a Sirenix fairy

First topic message reminder :

According ti the clip for Return to Alfea, Daphne was a Sirenix fairy. What does that mean? And exactly how old was she at the time of her death?

It was mentioned in the first season, though it was more implied than anything else and only on rare occasions was the terms "centuries" and "very long ago" explicitly used.

What struck me the most was when Bloom read that Daphne ruled the whole magic dimension with the nymphs after the dragon's disappearance for aeons. How is that freaking possible?

And almost no one seemed to remember who Daphne was and that Domino was a wonderful place except Faragonda, who must have known these stuff from being headmistress.

I mean she was supposed to be the most powerful fairy ever and her kingdom was destroyed 16 years earlier in one of the greatest disasters ever, causing the greatest magical power ever to disappear, and no one remembers it? There's obviously something that doesn't fit.

Well, Faragonda did work with The Company of Light which had Hogan in it, and he seemed to know a lot about the history of Domino. So he could have told her? They seemed to get along well....

Oh! I'm talking about S1 and its plot holes actually. You know my theory, right about Daphne who was originally meant to be Bloom's mom but was turned into her sister in mid-production, right??

And, still, how on Earth can the princess of the most wonderful kingdom ever fade away from the memories of people in 16 years only? 16 years is not that long after all.
It's a plot hole. At the beginning of S1, everything implies that Daphne lived and ruled the universe centuries ago and that Bloom was also born in ancient times. There's a drastic change between the Daphne from the 2 halves of S1. They changed the story!

The company of light had not yet been imagined back then, and even in S1 itself it's only after the Trix steal the dragon's flame that we hear Griffin and Faragonda saying they once teamed together against the ancestral witches, their rivalry looked way too bitter before this. IMO the story was changed midway.

I know, we can still make up for the inconsistencies using our imagination (that's what I do anyway), but the changes in production stuff and etc is also extremely interesting. Razz

You know what makes things even more inconsistent sometimes: the specials. Their reactions to some things now, when we know they went through it before is funny to me.
But with the episodes, it comes across like they had an original plan and then they changed their minds half way through the production and didn't bother to go back and fix what they already did. Or they missed some of the changes when they went back to fix things.

Since Bloom is still mentioning about her sister, I can only imagine that they're actually going to TRY to bring Daphne back. But she did seem to skip that part of what they can do when breaking the curse of Sirenix. So, it's still up in the air.

Talking abt time, Roxy's mom was traped for "CENTURIES" So does that mke Rick and Roxy like over a few 100 years old?

Hmm... maybe centuries on Tir Nan Og is different from centuries on Earth? Like maybe time passes faster there... I'm sure you've read books with alternate worlds like that, where people will go into one world and stay there months then come out and it will have only been a few minutes.
