Spamming on the forum

First topic message reminder :

I've noticed recently that some people have been spamming on the forum. I won't lie about not spamming on the forum because I have done it before, but I have stopped. This spamming business has to stop because it is effecting everybody and it's taking out some of the fun of the forum. So in general, PLEASE STOP SPAMMING

EDIT: The definition of spamming is: To send the same message indiscriminately to (large numbers of recipients) on the Internet.

Thank you for this topic. I agree as spamming is annoying as heck plus it is a great way to get in peoples bad books and or irritate them. Perhaps adding a definition of what spamming is to the first post would be a good idea?

I actually think This topic is not really effective. 'someone' agreed not to spam here but still spams. I really hate that.

It's like "Yeah, I agree. I promise not to spam again"
and now, "Lol","Cool" and many more other spams...

A piece of advice for when you see someone spamming-- don't make a big deal out of it. I've seen a lot of people pull this, which gets on my nerves a lot-- when they see someone spamming they overreact and get angry at them for it. That doesn't help, since it's only going to get them angry back at you, not have them stop spamming. They might even continue spamming out of spite.

There are two easier ways to deal with it--

A: Whenever you see someone spamming, take a screencap and send to Jae, but that might get somewhat annoying for him after a while.

B: Instead of yelling at them to stop spamming, a simple little "Please don't spam, it gets on a lot of peoples' nerves, and the forum is a lot more fun if there isn't any. <3" deals with it better. A polite question of asking them not to, and a smiley-face or a heart. (Doesn't matter which, a heart doesn't mean that you're in love with them...) People will feel more willing to stop and make sure their posts aren't spam if you say it nicely.
