World of Winx: Main Villain

The banner says it all. The main villain will be Tinker Bell. I'm kind of shocked at how the events turned out to be. This is probably the first time I'm not excited for a new Winx season (or series in this case) as by now I'm used to have my expectations low whenever it comes to Winx. It could turn out to be a great idea if executed properly nevertheless. This is really one of the few moments where I'm actually patient, so we'll see how will this turn out shortly.

Rainbow can technically use tinkerbell. Since peter pan falls under the fairytale licencing where there are no copyright/trademarks for fairytales. The only thing disney owns the right to are aditions made in their movies not present in the source material. So rainbow is legally allowed to do this but if they were to try and rip off elsa from frozen per say they'd get sued.

I just find this stupid tbh. Season 6 would of made more sense to add fairytaels in there like they did so why is tinker bell here being the villan? What??????????? Rainbow be sleep deprived and writing stupid things again send help.

First of all, I'm getting sick of all the jabs at Rainow every time they come up with a story someone doesn't like. The writers are not stupid, sleep-deprived, out of ideas (everything's an idea), or anything like that. And how can we judge the story based on so little information? The story's automatically stupid just because Tinker Bell's in it? =/

Second, why does everyone keep bringing up Disney? Yes, Tinker Bell has become an iconic Disney character, but...we all know they didn't create Peter Pan, right? It was originally a book by J.M. Barrie. All Disney did was create an adaptation of it. The characters don't belong to them; they're public domain.

Finally, what's wrong with Rainbow using a fairy tale character outside of season six? This whole show's a modern fairy tale! Rainbow constantly adapts characters from various myths and stories. How is this any different?

Besides, Tinker Bell fits this plot better than the plot of season six. Someone kidnapping kids! That's what Peter Pan was really doing. Rainbow's just turning the story on its head and making Tinker Bell the kidnapper. Don't you think it's more interesting for the Winx to be up against another fairy?

I find this quite surprising since, while they've made pop culture references before, this is the first time that a pop culture reference will be involved in a major way. I wonder how she'll fit entirely, and if Peter Pan and such will show up. I personally don't feel this would be a very smart move simply because it'll seem like a crutch; they're relying on a fairy tale to make a story. On the other hand, I'm quite interested in how this will turn out. Will they acknowledge Tinker Bell and J.M. Barrie's series as a fairy tale? Will they denounce it and say it was real all along? And what of Bloom, who has most likely come in contact with the fairy tale; how will she respond to it?

I don't really know what to think to be honest. I don't really like the idea of Winx crossing over with Disney...It just seems like a weird combination to me. Are they trying to pull in viewers by involving a well-known character in there? That could work I guess...

I was actually kinda hoping there would be no main villain present, and just the challenge of being spies being enough, kinda like the Teach 2 Be W.I.T.C.H. saga.

Well it's interesting that they are using an evil queen for the main villain. Those types of villains have been used in a lot of magical girl-like shows before that incorporate fairy tale themes. I'm actually somewhat curious as to see how this turns out.

Hrmmm... I'm surprised but hopefully she'll be a good villain.

Bit surprised they changed the target audience to 5-10 rather than 8-12 year olds. I guess we'll see how it plays out though.

I am a little less excited than before, but the animation looks appealing and I actually like Dreamix and the episodes sound alright.
