S6: A Few Too Many Villains? S6 Spoilers

I just finished watching Season 6 and I must say, I'm a little disappointed in the villains in this series. After all, the concept of the Legendarium and bringing to life some amazing characters that you can find in fairytales was a very good idea.

And we have amazing villains in this season! I loved the vampires, the Alfea champions looked epic and there were so many more who deserved a season, not a couple of episodes! Upon finishing the series, I was so disappointed in how quickly every single villain is vanquished!! It takes a maximum of two episodes to get rid of a villain and the way the writers dealt with Acheron was frankly one of the least climactic plot lines they've conceived.

My favourite villain from the series by far is Valtor and that's because he developed over the series. We followed him and his motives and by the end, we had built up to this huge battle that actually felt as though it was worth something. And since then, I feel the Winx Club has taken a huge step backwards in the way it deals with it's villains. Personally I think a great story has a meaningful and significant struggle in it and I felt that was really absent in this series. I really, really hope they change this let's-throw-in-as-many-villains-in-as-possible attitude for Season 7!!

Though I'm interested in what all of you have to say? Do you agree? What sort of villains would you like to see in S7?

hey that is something we have in common i think valtor is number 1 for the villians then 2 being the wizards because i think the worriest ones are the trix

Mmmh, I'm in definite agreement that Valtor was my favourite!! I'm not sure how I feel about the wizards, they were interesting and fun to watch at times but they could be hopelessly predictable as well (then again mind you, most of it is...)

Though Season 6 it was a real shame I felt that there was no shortage of interesting-looking villains, but the fact that they were all killed off in less than an episode really made it pointless making them look awesome if all they were going to do was going very predictably have the Winx (and on several occasions just Bloom) fight them off with a teeny, tiny struggle and then forget about them!

Selina wasn't all that bad in my opinion, it was nice to see something new from Cloud Tower apart from the Trix. Though her turn to the good side was inevitable and a little predictable buuut they could have made her far worse than they did- at least they managed to sketch out a personality and backstory that gave the character some flesh.

Mind you, I'm not quite sure what Selina's powers were... Was it snakes? She seemed to use them in her spells a couple of times.. or would it be over the Legendarium or something more of that genre?

But the problem wasn't so much with having bad villains for me, just never developing any of them and killing them of WAAAAY too quickly!

yeah she has been using snakes alot but please don't spoil it i haven't seen the last of season 6
