Aitheria couldn't believe what she has heard. She strolled up to the Official and looked at him in the eye.
"I heard that the Officials back off when someone has lost someone. But hearing that, from your mouth, shows that it isn't true. Back off from her! This is more important for her to morn over her mother's death than some charge pack. Do you know how hard it is for her to try and scrap money together for a send off, let alone some stupid fine?" she told him sternly.

After nodding to the nicer man, Lyra put her hand on Artemis's shoulder showing that she was not alone on this matter. She whispered to Aitheria,'Maybe we should just play nice. They can let us go sooner and we can let Artemis deal with this news without all these people here.'

"Lyra, take Artemis back into the ship so she can recover. I don't want her to be slammed for something that small when she has bigger problems to deal with. That and I don't want her to be talked down upon at this time" Aitheria instructed and winked, "Trust me on this. I can't let Artemis to suffer even more that she has. If anyone gets into trouble, it should be me, since I don't have a charge pack on me either."

Lyra had seen that determined look in Aitheria's eyes. It was a look she saw in a mirror when her friend was hurt. She nodded. 'Just be careful,' she said quietly before guiding Artemis back into the Hawk.

The lead admin eyes fill with anger, "You filthy outsides do not get to talk to us in that manner! If you were an electromancer and a menace like she is, then you'd need one! If you are one, then we will have to make you get one." The portly man glowers at the head man, "Give the girl time to grieve the passing and forget the charge. We do have more important issues to deal with than this." The lead man grits his teeth, "Fine, I'll forgo the charge, but one tow out of line for these outsiders and that will be that." The headman snorts and walks away towards the main terminal building.

Brianna follows Lyra back into the ship to help Artemis feel better after hearing that her mom's dead.

"And that's the end of that, for now at least" Aitheria said, "Sometimes, being a rebel pays off wonders." She stretched, and looked at the other man. "Sorry, but the way I see it, it's wasn't right for her to suffer more than she has."

Artemis was slightly trembling as she was helped back onto the ship. Unable to realise or grasp her mother was gone now. It took only half a minute before she clung onto the first and closest being nearby and cry her eyes out. Evidently this was not the cheerfull first view of Verne she wished to show her friends. The cilinder she had dropped in suprise was still laing on the floor of the platform.
