| So I discovered Super Secret Crisis War sometime last year on a KND forum site. Having played a Cartoon Network game known as FusionFall which was an RPG crossover of some of Cartoon Network's classic shows (and some not-so-classic), seeing the comic book series made me interested since it was a crossover of some of Cartoon Network's iconic cartoon shows. The series comes as comics, but you can get the two volumes to have the entire collection.
The first volume consists of the first six comics. The second volume is based on the one-shots, which feature different shows not seen in the first six comics along with a prologue to how Aku formed his legion of evil.
The basic plot line of the entire series is that Aku wants to destroy the Earth of every universe (aka, every CN cartoon show). The first six comics deal with Ben, (Samurai) Jack, the Powerpuff Girls, Dexter, and Ed, Edd, and Eddy trying to stop Aku and his legion of evil (Vilgax, Mojo Jojo and Mandark). The one shots contain Aku sending his robot army to other planet Earths (Kids Next Door, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Cow and Chicken, Grim Adventures, and Johnny Bravo) and the heroes of those series fighting back.
While I've grown distant with Cartoon Network because of their new shows, this series was a nice read, especially since the shows were all from my childhood (even though the Ben in this series was from Omniverse, the series itself was in my childhood).
Has anyone else noticed this series as well? | |
