The Central Courtyard

First topic message reminder :

The Central Courtyard is a large open space at the center of the school where students can sit and spend their free time. A Well through which the tunnels connecting Alfea, Red Fountain and Cloud Tower to each other can be accessed. When the moonlight shines on it, the well opens a portal, which leads to another dimension with lots water, where the map of the Infinite Ocean can be seen. A Public Square where functions such as the beginning of year and graduation ceremonies are done. It also serves as a landing space for flying ships.

Matrim quickly scribbled something on his notepad about what Roll said. "I admire you specialists. Going in harms way, fighting the good fight against forces some of my nightmares even shun," he said respectfully without making it sound like he was buttering him up. "What made you decide to follow this path?"

Roll furrows his brow and slowly crosses his arms. The truth was probably the best in this case. "I didn't get a chance to decide. My cousin Bloom forced me onto this path without even bothering to consult me about attending in the first place." He says flatly to the man. Of course he omitted the part where May and Garret agreed with him going.

Matrim listened to Roll's answer and frowned a little, but looked interested at the same time. the only time his frown was broken when another girl called him out, where he intuitively shot she girl a kind smile and returned the wave. "Why does she force you on a path like that when it isn't even your own choice?" Matrim wondered out loud.

"Her answer would probably be that the magic dimension is where I was born, so I belong here and not on Earth, where I was raised." Roll answers, glancing over to Clara for a moment.

Matrim shook his head slightly. "I asked you, not Bloom," was all he said. "I understand your sentiment, but I would like to hear your words on it. Even if you're born in the magical dimension, where lies your heart? Because ultimately where your heart lays is where you can be home," he said. When he spoke those final words he looked somewhat nervous, since college he had never truly called any place home again, he wasn't quite sure of his own words.

"I'm....not even sure anymore where I belong. I...don't really fit in here nor do I fit in on Earth anymore. It feels like I don't belong anywhere at all." Roll finally says after a few minutes of thinking, looking down at the ground. It was pretty much true, he didn't really belong on Earth nor did he really belong in the magic dimension due to what he was.

Matrim sighed through his mustache and laid a hand on Roll's shoulder. He had stopped scribbling on his notepad to give his full attention to the lad. "I can relate to that, I've been pretty much everywhere and seen everything. Though it has been long since I truly have been able to call a place home," he stated and paused for a little when his expression turned nearly blank with only a slight hint of the normally friendly face left. "But you say Bloom forced you to become a specialist, though somehow you don't strike me as the type," he said, casting his eyes right and upward for just a slight moment. "You seem to nice for the job."

Amara brushed some dust off her skirt and flipped her hair back. "Excuse me now." She said in a haughty manner and walked past Ryan to go to the Lake.

Diane eagerly ran to the kitchen with Chandra.

Ryan followed after Amara to go to the lake.
