The Central Courtyard

The Central Courtyard is a large open space at the center of the school where students can sit and spend their free time. A Well through which the tunnels connecting Alfea, Red Fountain and Cloud Tower to each other can be accessed. When the moonlight shines on it, the well opens a portal, which leads to another dimension with lots water, where the map of the Infinite Ocean can be seen. A Public Square where functions such as the beginning of year and graduation ceremonies are done. It also serves as a landing space for flying ships.

Flower sits atop the console with her mini typewriter when the console begins to beep. She looks up from her work. The message that was coming through reads as, "a...c..a..s...a...sh....w"

Artemis jumps up as she hears the clicking of the gears change, rushing over as a print is being made by the build in typewriter, her hair sparking brightly as she read the words "yes!" She jumps up and starts with trying to tune the machine so it would pick up the full reply of the signal, trying an overlaying peak setting to boost the detection and reduce the scattering "they heared me!" She jumped up of joy and grabbed the first thing she could, it being a pixie journalist, and hugged her tightly "they heard me!" She was so happy that she actually was crying of joy.

The electric component of the array would send a text to everyone who helped with building it and offcource to Faragonda, seeing she provided a suitable location for it to be build.

Flower shouts in shock at being grabbed so suddenly and being tossed around like a rag doll. "This is would be a great thing to write into my story. This is a great day and accomplishment." The pixie smiles to smile, but soon feels sick.

The message starts to look less garbled, but only half of it was getting through.

Artemis panted heavy and even kissed Flowers head before letting her go and hugging the machine "thank the godesses!" She exclaimated before starting to try and boost the recievers in sensativity.

As she waited for others to show up she decided to get a pulse signal of her own ready in wich she sended her own personal code along with her name so they knew who it was on the other side of the signal. All the while whiping her eyes a bit so was just so happy that she kept on giving sparks to the metal casing. Luckly the device was connected to the earth with a conductive casing so it could withstand even a direct lightning impact on the disk or array without serious harm to the electric consoles.

Now free of the fairy, Flower bolts into the air, grabbing her typewriter as she does so and begins to type like a fiend. With the fine tuning, most of the message was now getting through.

"So you finally got a reply from home then?" Tecna asks, walking over to the jury rigged array. She and Artemis really hadn't had a chance to talk, but now was a good time. She proceeds to the digital console and looks over the readings.

Artemis smiled and nodded, being a bit speechless for a few moments "y-yea... Even though half the message came trough they still got ours" she smiled brightly "and probbably got it completely too!" She panted a bit "I'm just so happy now!" She clearly showed it to the other fairy by giving her a quick hug, nearly glowing of happyness and joy.

Tecna just beams a bit at the hug, seeing the fairy so happy with the success, "Any person like myself or Lena who are very good with technology are glad we helped in this endeavor. May we have to adjust for cosmic drift and for possible space contaminants, plus increase our output to break though the clouds of your world just to get messages to and fro."

Artemis nodded and smiled "well, at least you know the rules for interplanetary communications" she smiled and let go of the other fairy "and don't worry about the clouds. I use a pulse with a frequency that actually gets amplified by the stimulated emission process when passing trough excited water molecules" she explained "it's a very important technique that's used for communications between two different cities when there's a storm" she explained to the fairy

"Now... What else can you read about the signal?" She asked her "I know my things on this side" she placed her hand on the mechanical part "but what info can you gather?"

"The digital read out shows they are using a very high band frequency, one that isn't normally employed by most civilians on magix. Most people on Zenith would use them and so would some military like the Specialists or the monks of Lightrock" Tecna explains, showing her display and the readings there on. Tecna taps the screen a few times, but smiles, "Seems your reply might have just reached them."
