"I don't know much about magic myself, though during the conversations I had over the years with Miss Faragonda I do know that she tries to employ the most fail safe method to learn girls like yourself not to blow up stuff at random like you've been experiencing (...) On that note, would you mind putting the light bulb back, let's not add another blown light bulb to the list, shall we?" He said though left little suggestion in the light bulb part as he extended his arm to receive the object.

"There is a lot I'd like to know, most importantly perhaps is why you think it's all chaos here? Alfea is among one of the finest structured places in all of the magical dimension, I've seen it first hand. Though admittedly ones definition of chaos and order can differ. So tell me, why is this chaos?"

Artemis blinked and sighed as she placed the lightbulb down as Matrim suggested her to "well... I guess that's so... I'm just so used to letting everything work by applying a current that when I grab or touch the things here they just pop and fizzle" she mumbled.

As Matrim told her about the structural organisation she seemed suprised "well... I guess the lack of clear courses... Maybe also the unsynchronisedness of the city outside.." She tried to think about it all "but I guess also just the lack of logica... I miss the ticking of the core" she decided to finally pick on

Matrim hummed and nodded when a gentle, friendly smile crossed his face. "You miss your home on Jule, don't you?" He asked, despite already knowing the answer due to Artemis constantly lapsing back to her own world. "I bet you have told this story a thousand times already since you've arrived, so I am sorry in advance to ask you, but how did you get here in the first place? As far as I know there isn't a portal connection not has anyone of your realm ever contacted another realm and likewise."

Artemis looked down at the plate of breakfast and let out a deep sigh "I miss home a lot... Just... All the comforts of the tech" she mumbled "my friends... The food" she smiled "not that this stuff is bad... It's just... You know... different" she looked up "well... Lemme see" she pulled out a small device and pressed a button on it as it let out a series of clicks "only seven times so far" she smiled. The number of clicks wasn't seven though...

"but I guess you'd like to hear it again from me?" She sat upright and took another sip of the tea "you know... Not many girls around here even ask me where I'm from... It's just... Really distant"

Matrim looked confused at the device not making as many clicks as Artemis told it did but figured he must have missed one and dismissed the oddity, tech wasn't really his domain though it seemed to play a huge part in Artemis' life. After a small moment of hesitation Matrim started; "Well the girls here are from twenty different realms, it's a given someone comes from a place they're unfamiliar with so to them you don't particularly stand out. Not everyone is interested to learn about the secrets all realms keep unfortunately. But the best you can do is to befriend them, talk to them. You might like some and don't like others," Matrim explained. He rubbed his beard which wasn't braided yet though showed the wavy curls of the perpetual braid he usually carries his bear in. "But when you stop blowing stuff up with your rogue magic, I think you;'ll find the tech we've got here has it's virtues as well," he said with a soft chuckle hinting towards the flimsy part, yet leaving it unspoken.

Artemis chuckled a bit and took a bite of her breakfast. Installing a short silence to listen before nodding "well yea... So far I met only a few of them well enough... Mostly the ones in my dorm... And some others I guess" she softly trailed off with her voice as she stared at her dinner

"So eum... My magic.." She mumbled "ugh... It feels so wierd! I just keep calling it my power" she held her hands apart to make a spark jump between them "so much of a better wording" she seemed to got amused by her sidetrack

"Your power, your magic, call it however you will but I think you're at your place here," Matrim said though not sounding fully convinced of his own words since magic is and always had been a bit of a hole in his knowledge. Sure he knew how it impacted history and cultures, though using it was a whole different set of skills, one he wasn't destined to have. "But it's good you get to know a couple of people. Trust me when I say getting used to a strange environment isn't easy. I've lived for two or three years in pretty much every realm you can name, except for Jule, and every time it's the same. Slowly get to know people, talk to them and eventually befriend them. But you haven't answered my question yet, how did you get here?"

Artemis smiled and sat upright again "ah! Right. I forgot I was gonna tell you about that" she smiled "wanna know the full story or just the quick short version?" She asked him "I guess the short version will make to you miss all kind of background info but the long story is indeed rather long and I might get some details wrong as it's still a bit fuzzy for me"

Matrim stared at his half empty cup of coffee. "Well, it depends partially on whether or not I can get a refill for my coffee, but I would like to hear the long version please, though go easy on the tech stuff, I really don't know a lot about technology, let alone one who has developed completely different from the rest," he said, sounding somewhat apologetic though curious at the same time.

Artemis shrugged "well... I dunnow... I got that in the dining hall but I don't know where else to get coffee" she said "anyhow" she took a deep breath "to start at the beginning. Since I'm an electromancer I automaticly got written into the Vernian University" she started to tell "all electromancers must complete their studies or be expelled and forced to life in the forest below... Kinda because we're dangerous" she clearly seemed to get remembered to an old pain of heart by that
"I'm still in my first year though... And in the last days before I got here I kiiiiinda accidentally blew up half of a workshop of the university by leaning against a condensor in use" she chuckled and rubbed the back of her head "I got flung for the class but my teacher told me I could still pass it if I helped him out at an attempt of his to send a signal alike to the ones he has been picking up from all across the stars"
