Special Skill:Water Manipulation - Carter is capable of manipulating water at her will. At the moment, as she has only recently discovered her powers, she is not capable of fully controlling this skill.

Transformation - Upon a simple touch of water that's not been conjured by Carter, she immediately transforms into her mermaid form, and can only return to her human form once she is dry. As she has lived most of her life as a human, she can normally breathe in land even if she is in her mermaid form, and she is also able to drink liquid, so long as the liquid doesn't touch any other part of her body except her mouth. Even a simple touch of water vapour can turn her into a mermaid.

Low Spells

Bubble Shot - Carter summons a stream of big bubbles from her hand, which hits the opponent at mediocre force 4 times.
Water Kick - Carter lunges towards the target, followed by a high kick while being engulfed by water, which sends the target flying.

Medium Spells
Aqua Slash - Carter charges the palm of her hand with water and then sends forth a sickle-like mass of water towards the target.
Caspian's Protection - Either with conscious thought or without, Carter creates a barrier of water that surrounds her body, protecting them from incoming attacks.
Wave Smash - Carter gathers water in her hand and throws it with tremendous force towards their target. It travels at 5 m/s.
Mermaid Pillar - Carter swings her arms in front of the target, manipulating water and forming it into the shape of a pillar, and using it to strike the target from below.

High Spells
Trident Force - Upon transforming her trident charm into a real trident, she then raises it up the skies and uses the Moon's power on the TIDES to summon a tremendous amount of magical energy. From there, she is able to control water at will, and even has enough power to levitate herself. During the full moon however, the trident will be rendered useless, thus she will not have access to any magic, and her mermaid tail will appear, which will only disappear once dawn breaks.
Mermaid's Wish - With this spell, Carter is able to use a strong healing spell which will enable her to transfer either her HEALTH energy, or her magic energy to another. This spell is risky however, thus an alternative would be to sing, which will cure the user, but not completely. If too much HEALTH energy is transferred, then the person being healed will soon adapt a tail upon touch of water.

Appearance: Carter has a long black hair that reaches down to her waist, in which her hair has some silver streaks but only on the back. She wears a black and white horizontally striped top, and a navy blue jean-styled skirt. Her shoes are blue sneakers. Whenever she is on her mermaid form, her side hair is tied on either side, and joined together in the back, and is tied together by a flower. Her tail is coloured gold, and there are pearls all around her arms.

Strengths: When it comes to potion making, it seems that Carter is a born natural. She is also very intelligent in most of her subjects such as Mathematics, Science, and English Literature. Carter, due to her mermaid background, is amazing at singing since she was young, and is still is, ranging as a Contralto. Finally, she's resilient to ice attacks, hence why she's able to defend herself easily with these types of attacks.

Weaknesses: When it comes to animals with fur, Carter has a huge fear of them, especially cats. Upon learning of her origins, Carter must be exposed to water at least 1 hour per day, in which she will revert to her mermaid form. Also, one touch of water will immediately turn her into her mermaid form, which annoys her as this is something she can never control.

Personality: Carter is a confident, ambitious and driven young woman. Being ambitious, she's always aimed to become big in Broadway in Earth, however, upon realising her fate, her new ambition is to lose the tail and become a normal girl again, which she's still trying to find a way on doing so, and will not stop until she gets it. She has always enjoyed the fact that she was a great singer, but sometimes she becomes pessimistic when it comes to her performances. At times, she can lose her temper and lash out, but soon feels the guilt and apologizes. She can sometimes be over the top upon receiving news, and due to this it can some times conjure her magic without her command due to its resonance with her emotion. At times, Carter can be ignorant towards the feelings of others, but that's because she can be a happy go lucky character at times. Carter, before receiving her tail, had a passion for water and loved swimming, however, upon receiving her tail which he believes to be a curse, she begins to hate a simple touch of water, as if it does touch her, she'll immediately turn into a mermaid.

History: 17 Years Ago, the Prince of the Merpeople in the Kingdom of Atlantis had decided to visit his relatives in the planet Earth, where he spotted a beautiful young woman walking along the seaside, she seemed sad. Upon approaching her, it was odd that a mortal woman was not afraid of a Mer-creature such as himself. He gave her a smile, and introduced himself. Upon conversing, they began to grow closer, and she introduced herself as Isabella Augustin. Every dawn, the two would meet at the seaside of Gardenia and converse, but soon enough he fell in love with her, and soon Isabella was pregnant. Nine months later, in order to prevent any casualties, he had taken her to Atlantis to give birth to their child, but as it was a solar eclipse, Atlantis was beginning to replenish, thus outsiders were pushed out.

Born during a solar eclipse, Carter is believed to be a curse from the world of Atlantis. However, what's more worrisome is that upon her birth, she was born with a pair of human legs. During the replenishing, her mother had been transported back to Earth, where her memories of the Prince and her daughter had slipped her mind due to the effects of the Moon's Magic, for it was her punishment for leaving the Moon Kingdom as it were for she was the Guardian of the planet. Betraying one's planet as a Guardian is a huge sin, and thus punishable by any means possible, where with the Moon providing visions of the future, they can also erase visions of the past. The story of Carter is only a myth within the underwater world of Atlantis, thus no one knows if she really does exist, and legends have altered her name to 'Nerissa'. as once she was born, her father; King Caspian, the Merpeople King of Atlantis, had taken her to the planet Earth hoping to find her birth mother, but had failed to do so, thus he gave Carter to a couple in a nearby ship, but not before giving her a necklace with a charm shaped like a trident, and soon in Earth she grew up to become a normal girl, living with a foster family whom cared for her deeply as once they saw her, they immediately fell in love with the child.

It was a quiet night when Adrian and Denise Azionaire were on their honeymoon and we're boating by the seaside. Suddenly, the sea began to swirl, and their boat began to swirl in unison. The couple decided to head back, but was stopped when the Mer-creature appeared before them, carrying a human child. The two soon understood what it had meant, thus they've decided to adopt the child and make her their own. As the whole thing had felt odd, the couple had decided to keep it to themselves about the origins of their daughter.

Carter grew up to become a confident young girl who has dreams of becoming a Broadway Star. Her natural talent in singing had been handy in her goal to make it big in the theatre world. She does however, enjoy swimming as well, and is able to hold her breath underwater for longer than 10 minutes, which had always made other curious yet impressed. Carter had always taken part in swimming competitions, and had always won in them.

One day, whilst sitting on the side, watching the pool slowly swirl, she began to feel odd and had a funny feeling in her stomach. Suddenly, flashes of the Moon began to appear in her mind, and from more of her visions, she sees a girl with the same black hair, but soon enough her hair had turned silver. Dizzy and confused, she began to walk around, and fell down the pool. As a huge flash occurs, she soon enough realizes that something odd had happened; her feet were gone, only to be replaced by a tail! She screamed out loud, confused and indecisive as to what she should do.

Her parents came rushing in, and after seeing her tail, they both soon understood what must be done. They've decided to tell her the truth, the truth about how they had Carter, and why she had a tail. Carter cried in despair, realizing that her life had always been a lie. She tried living in Earth as a normal girl, trying to forget what had just happened. But after a simple touch of water, she turns into a mermaid every time! She decided to quit school and just stay at home, depressed and miserable. Soon enough, she found that she had powers of the Water, but she had found it difficult to control. As magic had gone back to Earth, both her parents have decided to enroll her to Alfea, where she could learn more about her magic.

However, they told her to be careful and not expose the reality of her origins; not to expose the fact that she was a mermaid. They explained to her what King Caspian had told them 17 years ago, which is that a mermaid who can have legs, but cannot grow a pair of wings is not regarded as normal, thus she will be an outcast and will be punished by death as her very existence defies the true nature of being a Mermaid. She is seen as being unnatural, solely for the fact that she was born with legs rather than a tail. Furthermore, according to Mermaid Folklore, the birth of a Merchild under the crossing of the Sun and Moon is the sign of the Merpeople's legacy coming to a halt, at least that's what's been translated by scholars of Atlantis, and if this child were to have a pair of human legs, then the legacy of the tails shall meet its end.

Carter agreed to do so, only because she must find out the truth about herself and what her power really is. She asked whether the trident necklace had any significance to her powers, but only for her parents to say they do not know for her existence holds great mysteries. As she waited for her acceptance to Alfea, she soon realizes that the trident charm becomes a real trident upon chanting "Trident Transform!". She does not know much about the purpose of the trident, but is sure it holds the key to finding the truth about her existence.
