The Central Courtyard

First topic message reminder :

The Central Courtyard is a large open space at the center of the school where students can sit and spend their free time. A Well through which the tunnels connecting Alfea, Red Fountain and Cloud Tower to each other can be accessed. When the moonlight shines on it, the well opens a portal, which leads to another dimension with lots water, where the map of the Infinite Ocean can be seen. A Public Square where functions such as the beginning of year and graduation ceremonies are done. It also serves as a landing space for flying ships.

"You'll have to work in a group at some point during your second year." Musa says softly, "Having friends with you for that and having them outside classes can help. They can share in the pain and lessen it."

"But just because I would have to work with someone doesn't automatically make me their friend." Cadence said.

"You need to start talking to people more." Chandra said to Cadence. "You see that cute guy over there! That's Jesse!" She said pointing to a guy that was reading on a bench. "Go up and start a conversation. And I don't think he knows who you are so this should make it easier right?"

"But I'll get nervous." Cadence said

"Just pretend he's a fan you're talking to. Now go!" Chandra pushed Cadence in the direction of where the guy was.

The guy was reading intently on the bench, not having taken any notice of what was going on around him. Upon hearing a noise he looks up over his book to see Cadence. "Hi, can I Uh help you?"

I don't know how to flirt! "Err...HELLO JESSE! YOU READY TO ROCK THIS CONCERT TONIGHT!" Cadence shot two peace signs out into the air.

"What are you talking about?" The boy looks utterly bewildered at the girl's behavior and what more, several students were watching what she is doing. One group of elder fairies even begins to laugh.

Chandra facepalmed.

I did it wrong!!! "Thank you..." Cadence turned to the rest of the alfea fairies quickly. "GOODNIGHT EVERYBODY!" She ran back to where Chandra, Musa, Beth, Diane, and Eros were and quickly put on a fedora hat and her large sunglasses to hide her face.

"I didn't mean literally think of him like a fan..." Chandra thought it was strange how she was facepalming over someone else's dumbness when it was usually the other way around.

Some of the older students were laughing still at Cadence, but soon they head inside.

"That was...an epic fail." Musa replies, but she wasn't laughing. "Think of them as people and and you're just a person too, not a pop star."

"I can be sure not to ever take advice from you again." Cadence said to Chandra.

"Well it was better than my first attempt at flirting with a guy!" Chandra said. "I flirted with this guy but then I accidentally threw up on him since I was a bit sick that day. I'm guessing you've been cut off of normal life?"

"I've been home schooled since I was 9." Cadence said. She summoned a sandwich she bought earlier and was about to eat it when she noticed the bread move. She took the top bread off and saw a very furry caterpillar underneath. "AAHH!!!" She almost dropped the sandwich with the caterpillar. "I can't believe I almost ate it..."
