| Compared to Frozen, I prefer this movie.
Maybe it's because I'm bias towards Marvel movies, but I felt this movie had a stronger plot than Frozen did, which only really started to take off halfway through the film (the first half was character introductions and misunderstandings because people don't know how to speak).
I felt the characterizations were quite good, and they were a good mix. What was better was that Hiro wasn't a perfect, well, hero, and that he had flaws that were made apparent throughout the film. I felt it made the character more real.
The first time I saw it I teared up at least three times. When I saw it again with my friend, she cried those same three times, and almost left the theater.

It was he most emotional movie I have ever been to! It was worst than How to Train Your Dragon 2 A lot of animated movies nowadays seem to have major character deaths in it.
Yes, it did have a stronger plot. But like Frozen, it was very fast-paced. And yeah, the characters were pretty spot on for me.
I liked the incorporation of science and technology throughout the film. It could make kids realise that science and tech is cool and make them more aware of it at the least. Very relevant when I watched it considering I was at a Sci & Tech forum with friends from there...

| I really like this film allot better than frozen tbh. Not that frozen isn't unwatchable per say but big hero 6 had less plot holes and inconsistencys than frozen. It didnt need to rely on a good soundtrack to make the film good, it stuck to what it originally intended and i honestly liked it allot. I would of liked it allot better if it had some things that were in the original comic but i understnad that adapting an allready existing source material is going to cause changes so i like what they did since it was stand on its own as a single movie. I am up to the idea of sequals though as thry could do allot with this. I really love how viabrant and colourfull some of the animation was, thats the thing about frozen, most of the colour palet was shades if blue and the landscapes weren't apealing that much to me but big hero 6 has lots of cool locations ad designs from sanfrantoyko to freds mansion to the nerd lab. It delt with sibling love better as it didnt feel forced or you had to believe it. It felt more natural. It delt with death and loss verry well and while i did tear up it isnt the saddest animated film ive ever seen.... We all know which film killed me ;-;. But indo honestly wish this film was a bigger hit. Its not that it isnt failing but its not as frozen huge, if this keeps hapening we wont get films like this and wreak it ralph from disney since they'll stick to princess musicals. And while i do like myself some musicals i dont want those type of film to be only made by disney animation. I want to see other ceative projects from them since disney isnt just for girls and if they are focusing less on action movies which dont focus musical numbers its sort of isnt helping boys get into the theatre to see these films | |

Although I'm iffy on sequels (because I've seen enough Disney sequels to know that, on whole, they're far worse than good), I wouldn't mind it since this is a Marvel film and Marvel has done pretty well with sequels. - Quote :

Disney is, first and foremost, a musical company. Over 98% of their animated movies are musicals, with perhaps 2% (towards the later years) non-musicals. Princess musicals barely make up half of their films, since there's only 10 of them that are musicals ( Frozen is not counted since Disney isn't counting them in the Disney Princess franchise just yet; they'll wait till Frozen's run its course and then add them). They will always pick a musical over a non-musical because that's what they want to specialize in. DreamWorks, since they went to 3D animation, does not do musicals. 20th Century gave up their animation, and I haven't seen musicals from Universal in a long time. This leaves Disney the expert and lead runner in musicals, so they will continue to do so to keep their reign. That being said, Disney will most likely make a Big Hero 6 sequel later down the road for one reason: Marvel. Even though this movie was a joint making between Disney and Marvel, compared to their live action films which is more Marvel than Disney, this movie still has Marvel in it's title as well as it's opening logo, so people instantly responded to it. So long as the Marvel logo is attached, people will watch it. It may not ever reach the acclamation that Frozen has reached, but it's not something Disney will overlook.
