| Hello. I'm restarting this. I've recently come to enjoy the video game Disney Magical World. Originally, I was going to do a novelization for the game, but I've decided against doing so. Instead, I will be posting a collection of one-shots based upon events in the game. I'm terribly sorry for anyone who was waiting on the novel version.
- The one-shots are in no particular order and do not rely on the preceding one for context.
- My Mii character Kyra is the main character. Her clothing will be different each chapter (unless stated otherwise in the text), so I will do my best to post a list of the clothes she wears.

| Subject: The Merchant's New Wares Sat Jan 10, 2015 7:43 am | |
| Aladdin walked through the bazar in his street clothes, greeting the people with nods and smiles of acknowledgment, keeping his eyes open for the one person he was looking for. Abu, his faithful companion and best friend, sat on his shoulder and did the same thing. The street-rat-turned-prince had caught word that Kyra was in Agrabah, and he wanted to warn her against going into the Ancient Ruins. The Ruins had been pretty weak since her last visit, and he wanted to warn her against going into the Ruins until it was deemed safe again. His search efforts, however, were in coming up in vain. No matter where he looked or who he talked to, he couldn't find where the magician was. He made his way over to the Merchant's tent, finding the man in the middle of a transaction with a customer. If there was anyone in Agrabah that would know where she went, it would be the Merchant since Kyra was always at his stand buying cloth that she couldn't obtain on her own. The customer left the stand and the Merchant noticed Aladdin making his way over.
"Hello Aladdin!" the Merchant greeted with a pleasant smile. "What can I do for you today?"
"Hey Merchant," Aladdin greeted pleasantly. "Have you seen Kyra by any chance?"
"Oh yes! She came by and bought a yard of cloth from me before I asked her for a favor," the Merchant explained to the prince. "You see I needed some items to make a new fabric, and I asked Kyra if she would be able to get it for me."
"Do you know where she went?" Aladdin asked.
"Into the Ancient Ruins," the Merchant answered. "That's the only place where a person can get some malleable gold fragments."
Aladdin could physically feel his face drop at the mention of the Ruins. Kyra was in the exact place he was trying to keep her away from. The Merchant noticed the look on Aladdin's and was instantly worried. He'd never seen that sort of look on the prince's face before; Aladdin was always happy, and a few times determined. But never before had the Merchant seen such a worried look on Aladdin's face before. Even Abu looked worried.
"Is something wrong?" the Merchant asked.
"The Ruins have been unstable the past couple of days, and I wanted to warn her to stay away from there," Aladdin explained.
"Oh dear," the Merchant gasped in horror.
Aladdin ran a hand through his hair in an attempt to calm himself. A feeling of dread rose up through his entire body, but he pushed it away in order to have a clear mind.
"I'll go get her," he said to the Merchant in an attempt to ease the seller's mind.
He didn't wait for the Merchant to make any sort of acknowledgment to his words and ran past the man, heading in the direction of his old house. There, he would find Carpet and use the magical object to take him to the Ancient Ruins. Kyra typically used Carpet to fly her from Agrabah to the Ruins whenever she visited, but Carpet always went back to the house and waited, just in case Aladdin needed him. Whenever finished with her exploration, she would use a spell that would signal for Carpet to return to her to transport her back to Agrabah.
"Carpet!" Aladdin called as he ran up the steps into the little abode. His magical friend turned itself in Aladdin's direction, taking notice of the worried tone in Aladdin's voice. "I need you to fly me to the Ruins as fast as you can! Kyra could be in danger!"
At the command and mention of the magician, Carpet quickly got into position and took off through the open hole with Aladdin and Abu on it. Carpet had thought something was off about the Ruins when he had dropped Kyra off, but the magician had been determined to find the item for the Merchant and had entered the Ruins without a second thought. The Carpet flew as fast as it could, entering the Ruins through a wide enough hole and began to search for Kyra. He knew the Ruins well enough to avoid hitting pillars, but the tremors racketing the Ruins was causing rocks to fall from the ceiling, making Carpet focus on his task of flying them through the unstable structure and letting Aladdin and Abu search for their magician friend.
"Carpet, down there!" Aladdin ordered, leaning over the front of Carpet's edge and pointing in front of them.
Carpet followed Aladdin's order and dove downward, finding their friend running into the open space.
"Kyra!" Aladdin shouted, catching her attention.
The young magician stopped and looked up. Carpet came to a stop just inches from her, putting Aladdin at eye level with the girl. The brown-eyed girl looked at the trio in surprise and confusion.
"What are you doing here?" she questioned.
"Getting you," Aladdin answered. "C'mon, we gotta get out of here."
"Uh, okay?" Kyra replied. "Just let me go and grab something."
"We don't have time for that," Aladdin responded. "Get on Carpet, quick."
While Aladdin was trying to get Kyra to get on Carpet, Abu noticed something glittering off in the distance. He couldn't help himself and ran to the glittering object. It was a collection of gold fragments, and drawn to it, Abu grabbed it and tucked it into his tiny jacket. Just as he turned, to head back to Carpet, a rock piece fell right where the gold material had been, frightening the poor monkey and causing him to run at his fastest speed back to his companions. Neither Aladdin nor Kyra had noticed the monkey's disappearance.
"Listen, I just need to grab something alright?" Kyra explained to Aladdin, her tone hinting at her aggravation.
"Kyra, there's no time for that," Aladdin explained. "The Ruins are going to collapse."
"Let me-" Kyra was cut off by the feeling of the ground shaking and a pillar to the right of her falling onto the ground. Kyra stared at the pillar in shock before turning her attention back to Aladdin. "Okay. Let's go."
She climbed on Carpet without a moment's hesitation and Carpet flew from the open space and for the exit that they had used to enter the Ruins. When they made it outside, successfully avoiding getting killed from the falling debris, Aladdin heaved a sigh of relief and looked over his shoulder at the magician, who was also sighing in relief.
"That was close," Kyra commented. "Thanks for the save."
"Anytime," Aladdin responded. "I'm just happy you're safe. I was really worried when I was told that you went into the Ruins. They've been unstable the past couple days, and I was going to warn you about it, but you were already here by the time I found out that you arrived in Agrabah."
"Man, I was so close to getting the gold fragments for the Merchant," Kyra complained. "Now what's he going to do?"
Abu, hearing Kyra's complaint, remembered that he had the gold in his pocket. He ran over to her side and hopped up and down, getting her attention. He then pulled out the gold fragments and handed it over to her. The young magician's eyes lit up in delight when she saw the fragments and she held it in her hands.
"You found some gold fragments?" Kyra asked.
"You found some during that whole thing?" Aladdin questioned, chuckling at the end. "Abu, you never cease to amaze me with your ability to grab treasure."
"Ook ook eek!" Abu cheered, smiling happily.
"Oh thank you Abu!" Kyra cheered, reaching out and wrapping her arms around Abu in a hug. "You're a life saver!"
Abu blushed in bashfulness, cooing a little at the compliment. Carpet landed them at the Merchant's stand. Before Kyra could hop off of the magic carpet, the Merchant ran over to the group, his face expressing his relief.
"Oh Kyra! Thank goodness you're alright!" he exclaimed in relief. "When Aladdin told me about how dangerous the Ruins were, I was very worried about you. I didn't mean to put you into a dangerous situation."
"It's alright," Kyra said with a smile, hopping off of Carpet. "Nothing I couldn't handle. I'm a magician after all. And plus, I've got good friends who are watching my back. Oh, and this is for you."
The Merchant grinned in happiness at seeing the gold fragments.
"Oh Kyra thank you!" the Merchant said. "I'm so happy that you brought these to me!"
"I can't take the total credit," Kyra stated, gesturing in Abu's direction. "Abu grabbed them for me."
"Thank you Abu!" the Merchant said in gratitude. "If it wasn't for you and Kyra, I would be out of luck. But I now have these gold fragments, and I can finally make the item I wanted to make. Thank you, both of you."
"Like I said, it was nothing," Kyra replied with a shrug. "I'm just happy you got the material you needed. I can't wait to see what you make out of it."
"You will be the first to see it Kyra! I can promise you that much," the Merchant replied with a smile. "Thank you once more. I shall start on my object right away."
He gave a curt bow to the four friends and ran off to his stand, clutching the gold fragments close to his body so that he wouldn't lose them.
"Cya Merchant!" Kyra said in farewell, waving her hand to the retreating man. She turned and smiled at Aladdin. "I better get going too. Since the Ruins are unsafe, I better go to Wonderland and make sure the Mad Hatter and the March Hare's tea party is going well. Thanks again for coming after me. If you hadn't, I may have been squashed."
Aladdin smiled.
"It's what friends are for, right?" Aladdin asked. "From now on though, come by the palace and check to see if the Ruins are safe. It's better to be safe than sorry."
"I'll be sure to do that. I don't want to be put in danger, but I don't want you to be put in danger saving my hide," Kyra agreed. "Cya Aladdin, and tell Jasmine I said hi."
"I'll make sure she knows. Stay safe," Aladdin called to the girl as she walked away.
She paused and looked over her shoulder, smirking and giving him a wink.
"I'm a magician, remember?" she said before continuing to make her way out of Agrabah. ------- Outfit: Dunes Dancer Quest Clothes Wand: Magic Lamp Wand | |
