| First topic message reminder :
So, I can't seem to shake it off, the pixies look so...sugar-and-spice-ish... It's like they have complete new pixies. We don't know how Digit looked, since she was in a tightsuit covering all, but to make her into a sugarcandypop girl is a little to much. Is is to sell them more off? To attract little girls to buy the pixie dollies? They lost their individuality, it almost looks like they changed for the Winx.
I feel sad when I think about this, that the pixies thought in the last 2 seasons: "hey, we are gettin old for the Winx, they prefer new things, like pets and selkies. Let's change our appearances so they would fancy us again, so they will give some attention to us again." I just feel so much pity for them! That they have to change their appearance just to fit to someone else's taste. Not a good example for girls today, in my adult eyes.
Did they even say why they changed? Did the winx notice it and said something about it? No, they just took them for granted! Like it was every day news, it was normal for them.
Unless someone here knows the full story (official or something that makes reason) and would like to share it.
So, this is just my rant, if you think about this the same way, or feel the same way, please post it here. Even if you disagree, please make some sense of this bizar play. Cause I lost all sense of direction on this.

- I'm proud to say that even though PopPixie was dubbed to Portuguese, I never watched it. It didn't feel appealing, at all. I did see the opening credits, and that's why I knew Caramel and Cherie, because if I didn't, I'd be wondering who those 2 were. For once, I'd like Rainbow to pay some attention not only to the ratings, but also to the plot. Because the only think that keeps me connected to this show is my childhood, I'm no longer interested in the story at this point. Right now I just want to see Bloomix because it looks pretty.
I actually agree, season 1-3 where the best. I only watched season 5 because of the new CGI animation and Sirenix. Season 6 is interesting thought, but way cheesy again.

| Pop Pixie has never been dubbed into English so all of the English only speaking viewers are left confused and out in the dark by this change. Honestly I don't care if Digit turned into a boy (Although I will say that the horrible gender stereotyping that only boys are good with computers and play video games does irk my nerves) I have a friend who is in the process of turning into a woman right now, it would just be another day in the life of me. It does bother me that the writers and animators for Nickbow seem to believe that the fans are so shallow that we'll ignore the removal of two pixies who bonded with some of our favourite characters just because they have pretty clothes. Especially since the English speaking fans, while possibly knowing about Pop Pixie may have never watched the show because it wasn't dubbed into our language. I can speak, write and read some Spanish and am slowly understanding French, but I don't understand enough of either to watch a show.
I full heartedly agree with Aeniara that Nickbow needs to start paying more attention to the plot instead of the pretty colours and shiny new technology. That's what it felt that season five was about and my nine year old doesn't even watch the episodes that came with the 2nd movie because she thought most of season five was stupid. She got fed up with Flora (her favourite) and Bloom during the first few episodes. Fans are smart, they can't be easily fleeced and won over by bright colours and flashy animation. Especially when you don't have a plot and creative story telling to back it all up.

| *Sigh* I just blame Rainbow their obviously forgetting that they never aired Pop Pixie in the US. If they would have done that then people might have not have been as sensitive to the change. |

I got so angry when I saw the pixies were changed and that Linphea is all of a sudden pronounced differently. My sister was raging too!

What do you mean "pronounced differently" isn't actually a good thing that Lymphea showed up again because we really only saw it twice between six seasons. |

No, I think people would still be sensitive to the changes because the Pixies that were replaced were bonded to two favourite characters and showed up in the 4th season and the 2nd movie. It makes no sense to change pixies midway through a series.
