Origins: Magic User

Powers: Astera's powers are derived primarily from stars, allowing usage of light and fire elemental attacks, plus a bit of healing. She's got really low stamina, though.

Spells:
Heal - Cures minor wounds and weak curses. (Low)
Shooting Star - Fires a star at the target that deals minor damage. (Low)
Solar Flare - Generates a bright light that briefly disorients the target. (Low)
Solar Shield - Generates a shield slightly smaller than Astera for protection. It's in the shape of the star. (Medium)
Sun Dance - Powers up the spells of an ally at the cost of Astera's own magic. The extra power lasts only 5 minutes, and then that power returns to Astera; she's still kinda fatigued after it, though. (Medium)
Sun Spot - Generates magical, light and fire elemental magic on the ground, which strikes upwards. Because the spell is created on the ground, this isn't going to help much in aerial fights. (Medium)
Astral Starstorm - Several stars come raining down in a 15 foot radius around the target; around Astera, there is a magical aura coming from her in a 5 foot radius that can heal the minor wounds of others, but not herself. (High)
Supernova - Creates a powerful burst of light and fire elemental energy that hits in a 25 foot radius around the target. (High)

Appearance: Civilian - Astera has short, black hair that's in the style of a flipped bob. Her hair has a yellow streak going through it, and her eyes are brown. Her skin is brown. She typically wears a little black dress with a yellow ribbon around the waste and black high heels.
Winx - Astera wears a dress, of which the skirt part billows out in a round shape. The dress has no straps and is black colored with a yellow line across the top and the bottom. Said dress is also sparkly. She wears orange leggings and black boots, and she wears opera gloves that are lined with yellow. She also wears a necklace that has an orange star on it.

Strengths: Astera is fairly good at communicating and does well at cheering people up... most of the time, anyway. She does quite well in the educational aspects of school as well.

Weaknesses: Astera is highly lacking in athletic prowess, resulting in poor stamina. Her spell casting needs work as well; it's not long before she starts messing up her spells. She's quite bad with plants in general; she does badly against magic users with plants (despite her types of spells), and the one thing of education she isn't good with is biology involving plants; part of it is probably her allergy to a good chunk of them.

Personality: Astera is kind hearted and great with making small talk. She also has a habit of over-dramatizing things and being late to... well, everything, really. She has a hard time being on time, perhaps because she's so lazy. She encompasses the idea of brilliant but lazy and can be found acing tests despite slacking off. She spends a lot of time sleeping and gives the excuse that it helps her regain energy, which is true, but her maximum energy capacity sure seems to be low. She's usually quite relaxed as well, despite often having work pile up, and is sometimes forgetful, but does spend her time procrastinating by writing. Astera is also brave; or more accurately, foolishly brave. Managing to get her off her lazy butt may not be the best of ideas if you plan on taking her someplace with a giant beast or something.

History: Astera's had a pretty average life on Solaria and a pretty average family consisting of her mom, dad and a cousin that had been staying with them. Her family was considered middle class; having enough to get by and left over for extra things, but nothing highly expensive. Her laziness comes in part from such a relaxed family; they let her do stuff at the last possible minute, even in school; another part is that she didn't have to work for money that much; her parents did a good job of supporting them already.
In school, her classes often gave her group projects; she saw this as great, since in her head, it's a way to do less work and talk more. Despite spending a lot of time slacking off, she did fairly well, perhaps because she was usually relaxed. She did end up late often though, so it wasn't abnormal for her to end up in detention. Oftentimes she would use that time to write stories, sometimes about the people she already knew, except in ridiculous sitcom situations.
She begged her parents to let her go to Alfea; she wasn't necessarily interested in learning, but she wanted to not suck at her spells, an aspect her schools didn't go into detail of. Not practicing definitely caught up to her, and while her repertoire of spells is impressive, her ability to pull them off is not.

Her history needs more information about her past and present. The minimum weaknesses and strengths should be 3 also.

You should have a third strength too. The minimum for both weaknesses and strengths is 3. Also, how is she bad in plants? Forgetting about plants is more of personality trait.

Her strengths are that she's good at socializing, the educational aspects of school and her knack for writing comedy. The first two just happen to be in the same sentence, although if I need to move one of those to personality I can do that.

Well, once again, writing comedy is a personality trait. Making others cheer up is a strength if you're trying to get there.

I'd like to know the effects the supernova causes and why Astral Starstorm is a healing spell if you already have healing (And yes I'm aware you can't heal yourself but it still heals minor wounds.) Is there a difference between them or like does she use it as an attack too? Smile
