I got a few of my packaged Mattel dolls yesterday from my parents so I decided to start some regular reviews of those and some comparison reviews between the Mattel and Jakks minis. My first review will be of the Regal Lights Flora doll from The Secret of the Lost Kingdom.

The eyes on this Flora doll are wider than on the other Flora dolls from Mattel dolls and she has pink glitter eye shadow on her eyes and pink glitter over the lipstick too. Her eyelashes are rooted like the 2nd wave dolls and the Enchantix and Singsational dolls.

Flora's crown is pink and when you press a button alternating red, yellow and green lights dance across it. Her hair. as you can see on the back of the box is supposed to be down and held back by small ponytails. However this doll is not coming out of her box, so instead she's going to look really funny.

Her dress has a full skirt and a sweet heart neckline with thin pink straps. The top skirt has glittery material on it and some darker pink and white lace trim. There is a thicker edging of lace along her waist line. There are pink plastic roses hanging from her waist and along the upper arms of her gloves and one on the middle of the bodice.

I honestly can't tell you what the shoes look like because again, that would require her removal from the box. I can tell they're the same pink colour as the roses and the same material.

Since this doll is from Mattel her arms and legs pose like any other mattel doll. The box for this Flora doll is what you would call a picture box I guess. I'm not too thrilled with the quality of the top since it's about 6 years old and the top cardboard is popping out. She is a very beautiful doll, probably my favourite out of all my Flora dolls.

Because I am a collector and a lot of the dolls I have are very hard to find and I don't want them getting wrecked. I have a two year old and I plan on having more kids. My 8 year old has also damaged her dolls pretty good.

I have a Stella Harmonix that I did take out of her box and my 2 year old has already taken her off of my dresser and messed up her hair a bit.

That Flora doll looks nice! I find it funny how they made one hand point and the other is like all straight out. But her dress is really pretty, I must say. <3

Thanks, she's definitely one of my favourite Flora dolls and I have a few of them. I almost wish I could just take her out to see what the shoes look like. But then my daughters would get a hold of her.

I noticed that Mattel posed their dolls in strange ways. The Layla I have from when the rest of the dolls were 2nd wave and Layla was a first wave is posed like that as well. I also found the Mattel dolls limited in their poses.

I wish I could get the full set, I haven't seen any of them on Ebay and I've been searching for a while. I would love to have Aisha since you hardly see her dress in the movie.
