| Since there are 3 main types of animation hand drawn cels, 2d flash and 3d CGI, which do you like best and why? I prefer the hand drawn cels because it looks the best and most presentable, flash everyone looks like a fish puppet which doesn't cut it. CGI is to bizarre at times. If anyone knows of any cartoon that is still hand drawn besides Scooby-Doo, feel free to mention that in your post, anime is also still done in the hand drawn cel form. Most 2d cartoons are now floppy flash or 3d CGI which is annoying. Cel means celluloid animation for those of you who don't get animation terms. | |

| A+ topic. :magicattack: Speaking as an anime fan... Hand drawn all the way! I mean, just look at these beauties: - Spoiler:
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm 99% sure you can't do that with flash.

| I don't think you could achieve that either with a computer, I also don't think you could get a near real look with a computer for the Scooby Doo cartoons, I mean come on how could you draw mystery incorporated or the current DTV's on a computer, all it takes is one look at Mystery Inc and you just can't get that almost real feeling with a computer unless you are really good. The cgi types are bizarre half the time even the Cgi for live action movies have Mr.Doo looking painfully weird. | |

| I am torn between Hand-drawn and CGI. On the one hand, I do enjoy the hand-drawn cartoons and shows, just because it shows the creativity of the artist. On another, I enjoy the CGI shows if done well. Some of my favorite CGI Movies/Shows are: Toy Story (the original as far as I can remember, or at least the original Disney CGI), Rise of the Guardians, Tron Uprising, RWBY, and RvB. | |

| some cgi is good and others are not so good, by the way Casper has toy story beat by 7 months for CGI in leading role, that ghost has always been cgi. | |

Toy Story has it beat by being a full-length CGI film, though Casper's animations led the way for Toy Story.

| Well that's technically half-true Disney was using CAPS (computer animation production software) to test the idea of CGI best example Beauty and The Beast during Beauty and the Beast (song) the ballroom dance is totally cgi only it looks 2d. | |
