| Hey guys, so I may be thinking that the rate will get lower when we get to see more leaks. Now I am worried about this, after the episode 14 was released on iTunes, people may think that they will just download it rather than watching it on air.
Now I may be also thinking that Nick doesn't think about their ratings. I mean, why would they post the leak on iTunes? I know that we are all been waiting for this but they don't need to really rush it over and just show it to us by ourselves!
And again, I am really worried, you know what happens to a show if it gets low ratings right?
Maybe next time, Nick should really, really fix their schedule and be careful of posting leaks/episodes on iTunes...

| Probably not the best move on Nick's part. I guess they did just for business, who knows? Idk if it was an accident, probably not, because they've done this in the past. Yes, it will affect the rating unfortunately but knowing how Nick seems not to care about their ratings, it seems normal to me. | |

| ^I agree, but maybe not all of the time Nick is like that... But I do hope they won't do it again... If it is an accident, why don't they remove it immediately? Right? | |

| ^THey don't get their reports immediately. So it'll be sometime before they remove it. | |

| It's probably not an accident, it's just them being dumb.
It's kinda like what happened with Rai putting up the episodes in Italian first-- no one's going to watch it because they've already seen it. If Nick doesn't stop letting these things happen I doubt Winx's ratings are never going to go up. :/
Not to mention the Winx Club fandom in general is terrible at ratings. I know a lot of the fans are international and that's okay, but I mean even most the American fans just wait and watch it when it goes up on youtube because they don't feel like it.
If things keep going this way and ratings keep being this low I wouldn't be surprised if Nick drops the show (and to be honest, if they drop it, we might not get Season 6 considering how early in production we are right now) so both us and them have to step up and start watching.

| ^I agree with Sib. I've also noticed that Nick might be taking their viewers for granted by first of all, moving back airdates, and second, by putting on episodes early. I remember back in season 3 they pushed the episodes back to 2/1c, which is quite early for weekdays, considering their target audience is still in school by then so they get virtually empty air space. Apparently Nickelodeon is focused on giving the channel a makeover than it is on ratings and promotion really, as you can see from 3 shows getting cancelled. They probably put on the episode early because they might be having so much trouble with viewers that they decided to leak it online but the execs at Nick aren't smart so what do you expect? I won't be surprised if they move back the date for this epi or even delay S6 b/c of the leak. | |

| Doesn't putting something on iTunes for download also increase their profits? I doubt it, in this case, because Episode 14 is flat out free of purchase.
And as for internet goers, yeah, Season 5 episodes are uploaded to Youtube and one episode has over a million views. That's not bad at all, but it doesn't do much to help the actually TV broadcast.
I haven't the slightest clue where to find ratings online, but I know Nickelodeon hasn't done too bad. Although their poorest ratings can fall around 1 million and 2 million. Also, they need to put Winx Club at a much more prime time slot. And they need to kick up the advertising a bit more.
Winx Club may be doing well internationally, what a miracle, but the US can be a little rough to please. This show is targeted to mainly girls of 6-11. Approximately.

| I don't think Nick cares too much for the show... Like MLP, it's now used to advertise the dolls, which everyone loves and is buying. I think the episodes just hype the dolls, and aren't really taken seriously. | |

| I don't think Nickelodeon cares too much about Winx Club. They might think that since the ratings are going down, there probably will not be a sixth season.
It was not right for them to release a free episode on iTunes in the first place. It's ruining the TV-Ratings.
More and more people are uploading the episodes on video hosting sites just so they can get thousands of views. But do they really care about the show itself? If many more people knew, the ratings would be going up by now.
I hope Nickelodeon will actually try to help the Winx Club. All of their shows are done/cancelled.

| Yeah if Nick doesnt take some smart pills and get a clue, I'm afraid Winx Club will get cancelled. | |
