Leaf flare: As Finn slams his sword into the ground, a ring of leaves fire radially from his position within a 1 metre radius. The attack is indiscriminate and inflicts damage on the first object it blasts into. Effects include physical damage on impact as well as a 5- 10 second disorientation effect after. (Medium).

Aeroblast: A vortex of air builds up for approximately 20 seconds during which Finn cannot attack, once complete, he fires the vortex at an enemy to inflict damage as well as having a staggering effect that lasts 10 seconds(Low). 


Appearance:  Finn isn't a boy of extraordinary appearances. He is six feet tall and has a rather lean build. He was never particularly impressive on the muscular front. He has messy, curled dark brown hair which his mother teasingly compares to a mop.  He has dark green eyes that stand out in contrast to his pale, freckled skin. He's most often covered in a layer of grime and dust and his wardrobe largely consists of old shirts and trousers that he can afford to get dirty.

He most commonly wears a long brown coat, a loose white shirt and beige trousers. Whilst working, he usually carries his rapier in a leather scabbard along with a holster of the same design for a gun.



Strengths: 

1.Knowledge of spacecraft mechanics and flight: Having lived on a transporter for a year and a half now, finding his way around a spaceship is no problem for Finn. He's started working as a pilot and whilst he's a little rough at times on the control, he flies well enough. However due to the slightly outdated model that Finn's family own, Finn's knowledge of more modern upgrades is limited.

2.Shooting Skill: With a lack of physical strength and a struggle to control his powers, Finn learnt to wield a gun whilst fighting alongside the fairies, given that it was too dangerous for him to use his magic.

3.Knowledge of Plants and Plant Care: Finn's mother taught Finn about the world around him and throughout his childhood, Finn picked up a thing or two about plants. With Earth being his primary element, he pursued his interest and has grown to be very knowledgeable on plants, their effects and how to grow them.

4.Basic Musicianship: Finn has always had a passion of music and a love of disco, and since a young age he has been determined to play music himself. He's trained his singing voice and can play guitar and the fiddle well enough but would be interested in furthering his knowledge.

Weaknesses: 

1.Weakness in Physical Fights: Outmatched by most in strength and skill and whether it be hand-to-hand or a swordfight, Finn struggles to master the techniques of physical fights. This often causes trouble as he has to use his sword to use his magic.

2.Lacking Education: His mother and her friends taught Finn as best as they could whilst he was growing up, but they had a lot on their plate so Finn now finds himself at a disadvantage in comparison to other children his age and even a couple of years younger than him.

3.Magic takes longer to learn to wield and can be liable to backfire: Being a transfusionist, his magic takes many years to perfect and he can only use Leaf flare efficiently, his other known spell liable to backfire if he attempts to use it.

4.Claustrophobic: Finn has a fear of small, enclosed spaces and is liable to panic when trapped in them.


Personality:  Finn has always been known for his ability to make others smile. Growing up in a difficult period for his mother and others of his kind, he would always make it his goal to make at least one person smile everyday. He proves to be a confident speaker and quite the optimist, never failing to see the glass as half-full. He is an outgoing, social and a very talkative young man with an easy sense of humour.

Finn has a shameless love for disco and many other genres of music as well. He takes great pleasure in performing and even just playing for himself or with a few friends. His parents always encouraged him to continue in his interest, both of them keen musicians themselves. If only he were as good a dancer as he was a singer...

Finn is very close to his family and takes their advice very close to heart as well as often seeking their guidance when he needs it. Above all else, Finn has a love of flying and freedom. He has always had a fascination with everything that could fly having grown up around fairies. He takes on after his father with his love of adventures and travelling and enjoys the thrill of dabbling in a little mischief. Though his love of freedom was what also spawned his claustrophobia. He had always been uncomfortable in the dark, but he completely panics when he feels as though he's trapped in small, enclosed spaces.

Due to his status as a Mage knight, he's not particularly seen in the best light by others but he doesn't usually let it bother him all that much. When he can, he keeps his powers to himself. If others do find out  It means that jobs are often harder to come by, so with that in mind he will often happily turn a blind eye to the legality of certain jobs.


History: 

Finn was born to Niamh and Dean O'Hara in a small Irish village on Earth. Both his parents came from generations of Earthern magic users who had gone into hiding and had avoided being caught by the Wizards of the Black Circle for thousands of years through hiding their magic and living out seemingly normal lives. They had lived on the coast of Ireland, not all that far from Dublin. A few years after they were married, Niamh gave birth to a son- Finn O'Hara. When Finn was born, the young couple sensed something different about their sons powers... it was a weak but it was undeniably there. Unsure what to make of it, the two of them decided they would wait until he was older before they crossed any bridges.

As the years flew by and Finn grew up in the Irish village, the small family couldn't have been happier together as they lived like any ordinary family would. Finn went to pre-school and Niamh and Dean both had jobs playing music in local pubs. Niamh and Dean thought up of countless places they'd have to take their son, all the music they would have to introduce him to and all the activities they could do together. Though their plans were brought to an abrupt end as they were finally found by the Wizards of the Black.

In a furious battle between the Wizards and the couple, Niamh and Dean fought for their freedom. Though eventually, they were overwhelmed by the power that the Wizards had gathered over the years. Niamh had been badly wounded in the fight and in an attempt to save her, Dean transferred all his powers to her. It saved her life but it left Dean powerless and so he was spared from banishment but separated from his wife and child who were banished to where all the other Earth fairies that had been captured had been banished and were isolated from the rest of the world. As they were banished, memories of Niamh and Finn were wiped from all who had known them.

Finn still held onto the memories of his father whilst he grew up in exile under Queen Morgana. All that he had that physically remained of his father was a portable cassette player and a mixtape made especially for Finn. One side containing his dad's favourite folk songs and the other side, his mother's collection of disco classics. And knowing this was the closest thing he had to his father, it was what kicked off his love of music.

As Finn grew older, his powers matured slightly and it eventually became known that he was a Mage Knight. His powers were much weaker than what Niamh anticipated but he still had them nonetheless. Niamh knew that the Mage Knights had a bad reputation on many planets, but thankfully her son was spared the brunt of the discrimination due to the Earth fairies having to concentrate on more pressing issues such as- trying to get back to their homes.

Educating Finn whilst the two were kept in banishment and away from the rest of the world was another challenge that Niamh had to overcome and whilst she and her friends tried to teach Finn what they could, they had a limited amount of knowledge and free time and thus Finn learned more from what he had to know and essential/practical skills he needed rather than what many children were taught in schools. And that didn't even begin to cover them trying to train his magical abilities. Finn was given a sword and was useless with it- both using it as a weapon and a conduct for his magic. His mother kept trying to teach him, but she slowly began to focus on him understanding his primary element- Earth and taking care of plants and the land around them. Rather than teaching him combat magic.

Being surrounded by almost naught but fairies for most of his life, he developped a fascination with flying though couldn't do so himself. But he dreamt that one day he would get himself an spaceship and be able to soar with his mother in the skies above.  A couple of times, he tried to build himself a pair of wings but alas his humble attempts ended only with him getting several cuts and bruises. So instead he resigned himself to watching and looking after the birds instead. 

Once the Niamh and Finn were finally liberated by Roxy and the Winx alongside all the other Earth fairies, Niamh and Finn originally fought with Morgana in her army of Warrior Fairies. As his powers were not combat efficient, Finn used a gun instead.

However, Niamh was distracted from the quest for revenge when she found flyers for Irish folk singer Dean O'Hara. Without hesitation, she took Finn and abandoned the army to go and find him. Once Niamh and Finn were reunited with Dean after all those years and restored his memories of them, they were no longer so keen on vengeance and separated from the vengeful fairies. They only returned to stand by Morgana when she too decided against taking out her vengeance on the humans.

After the defeat of the Wizards, the family returned to their cottage where they had been before Niamh and Finn had been banished. However putting Finn back in an ordinary Earthern school didn't work out at all as he started failing the majority of his classes and he wasn't getting anywhere with his magic. Admittedly, Niamh and Dean did not particularly take to the uneventful lifestyle of living back on the Earth without magic either. 

So once the family had earned themselves enough coin, they bought an old model of a transporter spacecraft, hired a few crew members (consisting of a mechanic, a medic and a couple of helping hands for the jobs they took on). With that they set about to travelling around the dimension, picking up what odd jobs they could find. They even let Finn name the ship and he dubbed her 'Boogie Wonderland' which is often abreviated to just 'Wonderland'. They largely earned their keep transporting goods and passengers across the dimension, and occasionally a smuggling job if there weren't enough honest jobs for them to take. 

They lived like this for a little over a year, Finn had taken to piloting the ship and was dubbed 'Pilot Freckles' by the crew. However in recent light of events, Finn felt a sudden surge in his magic for a seemingly unknown reason. He wasn't particularly sure why but as his magic grew stronger ever so suddenly, he became more and more of a danger to himself and those around him. Niamh suggested he attend Red Fountain College to learn to control his powers. However being quite inept at physical combat and not having much experience spending much time around other boys, he was slightly hesitant. Though after a long discussion, the family came to a compromise and agreed to send him to Zaltora instead.
