Special Ability: Transformation - Avius is able to transform himself into his merman form upon touch of water as he is a half-merperson, thus he has no control over this transformation
Fire Manipulation - When Avius is absolutely weakened, he is able to manipulate or create fire. However, upon usage of this ability, he may lose control over his mind, thus triggering his sociopath self to go on a rampage.
Spells:
Normal Blade (Low) - Avius creates a sword made out of steel to which it enables him to fight against creatures. This is the standard blade he uses, which does not cost as much magical energy in comparison to his other sword.
Moon Soul (Medium) - Avius summons an axe that's about 60 inches large and has the power of the Moon. This sword has two forms, one to which it is in it's normal form and is simply a silver axe, whilst the other form being called the 'Sleep Form', turns into bronze blades and is far weaker than it's previous form.
Ignis' Force (High) - Avius summons a sword made in diamond and is covered in flames. Through magic, the sword is light, and is very sharp in terms of cutting. Summoning this sword requires a lot of magic. As it is the flame sword of the Element of Ignis, it may sometimes control Avius if he is absolutely weak, to which it will cause Avius to lose control over his mind and go into a raging fit.
Trident Summon (High) - Avius is able to summon a magical trident that his mother had created for him, to which it is able to control his powers of fire if used. Originally used for controlling fire, this trident has the ability to take control of fire and produce firebolts as well. When not in use, it can either be sent back to where it is kept, or be turned into a trident charm.
Appearance: Avius is a fit and tall young man, height ranging at about 6 feet. He has a nicely tanned skin, and has light brown hair that's always formed to go up. His eyes are of two different colours, the left being blue, and the right being green. His casual outfit consists of a white plain shirt that's slim fit, and on top is a polo shirt with blue and pink plad pattern. He wears blue ripped jeans and blue sneakers. Meanwhile, in his Battle Form, he wears an ancient costume worn by the mer-folk of Atlantis, a battle armour made of celestial bronze which helps prevent him from being damaged badly during battle.
Strengths: Avius is a fast learner, thus he is capable of learning things immediately for he has a love of studying. He is not easily frightened thus is able to face anything in front of him. Calmness is also Avius' strong point as it is key for him to keep calm
during battle.
Weaknesses: Although he is a fast learner, Avius finds it difficult to finish off what he's learnt, for he immediately looses interest at times. Avius' fear of the darkness is what gives him a huge disadvantage when in battle and night. Due to his ability of creating weapons through the use of fire, he is very weak against water.
Personality: Avius is a very friendly and cheerful person, one might say he is a happy-go-lucky character. Although mischievouz at times, Avius is very much kind-hearted. Avius is not easily angered due to his calm nature, and is very much forgiving to those who ask for a second chance. However, Avius only gives people second chances, any further and they will either be shunned, or destroyed, depending on Avius' mood. Although kind-hearted, Avius can also be unkempt and sociopathic at times to the point where his sadisctic nature gets the better of him, thus sometimes endagering those who have wronged him, minor or major, hence why he tries his best to keep calm at all times through constant meditation.
History: Prior to 500 Years during the ruling of King Aquanous, the split between the world of Mercreatures had not occured yet and thus the land lived in peace and harmony. During the creation of the planet, 13 Elements of Magic was used in order to do so, thus creating thirteen gems which is used to keep the planet flourishing and living. It was then that the planet Atlantis was the home of the Thirteen Elements of Magic, to which it had aided in providing for the land and underwater world. Both land and sea had made an island to which the powers of each Elements will flourish, as well as be kept safe within, thus in the land was Maori Island, which had consisted 6 and a half of the Elements, ranging from: Ignis, the Element of Fire; Algiz, the Element of Truth; Tempus, the Element of Time; Halagaz, the Element of the Wind; Floris, the Element of Earth; Laxis, the Element of Lightning; and finally, half of Stellaria, the Element of the Sun.
Meanwhile, in the sea, was Mako Island, to which it had contained the other 6 and a half Elements, these being: Aquaria, the Element of Water; Nokomis, the Element of the Moon; Isa, the Element of Ice; Tenebrus, the Element of Death; Coelus, the Element of Space; Amouria, the Element of Love; and finally, the other half of Stellaria, the Element of the Sun. Through these Elements was the planet able to provide magic to its people and those who seek knowledge and power within the island. However, during one fateful Solar Eclipse 200 years after the planet's creation, did both islands begin to portray odd movements. The Elements of the Dragon Flame had suddenly come together, to which the 13 Elements had come together in Mako Island.
As it turns out, within the island was Fiona Serenia Geminae, one of the most powerful mermaids in the planet, whom was pregnant and had wanted to give birth in her humanoid form. The woman was impregnated by a man she had met during her visit in the planet Moon, thus making her child a human-merperson creature. As she gave birth, the Moon had crossed the Moon Pool, to which the island began to have strange effects on her child. The water from the Moon Pool soon began to take form and brought her child in the Moon Pool. In there, the Elements surrounded the boy, to which the Element of Fire manifested into a ball of energy and entered the boy. As soon as the Moon had left, the rest of the Elements soon disappeared, never to be seen again. The boy then fell into the water, and immediately transformed into his merman form.
It was years later that this event had come back to cause harm and tragedy to those he was close by. During the Underwater World Festival, to commemorate the long lasting planet even without the guidance of the Elements, had Avius discovered his ability to control fire, and his ability to create weapons on his will. During the Ceremony which was always during the 10th Year of the 10th Month of the 10th Day on a Full Moon, which was held on land as it was the Mer-fairies turn to set up, Avius was curious about his ability at the tender age of 6. Suddenly, his powers began to grow uncontrollable upon interaction with the full Moon and soon started causing unwanted fire to burst. No longer than 10 minutes, the whole island the celebration was held in was in flames, engulfing everything in sight. The Moon's strange effect on the boy soon caused him to produce flames on his command, burning merpeople who tries to stop him.
It was then that the King had decided the boy will be punished as he was a curse to the peace. Using his abilities, the King was able to understand why the boy had the ability to control fire even though he was a mer-creature, it was due to the Elements. He also knew how the boy would someday be the one to bring destruction to the planet, or be the one to bring peace. Knowing he shouldn't risk it, he had declared that the boy will be executed. A tearful mother, in fear for her child's life, could not find anyway to help her son escape, thus she decided to go for broke and used a time spell to send her son to a distant future. With this, she embraces him for one last time and pushes him into the time ripple.
Soon thereafter, a wizard who goes by the name Richard Von Frelser found the boy in the middle of the forest, unconcious. As he checked the boy, he noticed that the boy was currently being consumed by immense power inside him, thus Richard decided to use his magic to put the boy into a magical cryogenic state and try to help the boy. He took the boy to his home in the planet Prism where he took care of him. Richard had managed to surpress Avius' merman magic after 5 long years, in order to let his other magic grow, the ability to control fire. Once the boy had awaken, his memory were no longer with him, and thus he was a new man, to which Richard had named him John Avius Frelser.
5 more years later, Avius at first thought that his surpressed memories were just dreams, as they constantly pop up, and in which they overwhelm him thus he faints. Soon, Avius had realised that his memories were not dreams but visions of his past. Seeing the horror had soon brought back his merman origins, to which upon touch of water he now turns into his merman form. Angered that Richard had lied to him, Avius began to lose control of himself, to which his powers had overwhelmed him and had turned him against his foster father. His flames soon engulfed the whole house, and as he begins to plan on burning the whole city, only then did Richard realise that he should have repressed the boy's flame ability. Without much difficulty, the boy was able to burn the whole of the Herbal Grassland. As an act of desperation, Richard used his powers to repress the boy's ability, and thus, unabling the boy to complete his task, but at the price of losing his magic forever. Richard was now powerless, but still forgave the boy after he had come to his senses. Soon, both have began to learn the arts of weapon creation, but soon enough Avius began to show signs of magic once more as he was able to create weapons from his mind, or summon them. Richard explained that this was Space Magic, which was most likely the magic he had inherited from his mother, to which these items are concealed within a space.
After his constant fascination with magic, Richard had decided to send his adopted son and apprentice to one of the schools in Magix, where the boy may hopefully learn more about his abilities and learn to control them. Although Avius had agreed to forget about the past, he secretly continues to dream about it, and plans to seek the answer, and to travel back to where he truly belongs, in the past.
