| I'm being told this is only for kids, but I can't find that in the rules | |

| That's what Kyra and I have been wondering. We were wondering if COPPA takes place or no and we still don't know and nobody said this is only for kids? Nope. It's for all ages. Unless COPPA takes place. | |

| A forum being restricted to only kids would be absurd, though I can see why kids wouldn't be allowed. As far as I know, forum-motion doesn't have an age restriction, so there isn't one. They'd probably mention it somewhere if it was, right? | |

If that would be the case, then a few of the mods would have to be out as well. The Ytv board is only open to those 6-19 years of age. Nick is up to 18. There are ways around both though. I think as a whole since Winx Club started in 2004 and the age range of fans varies so much, it would be better to have no age limits on the membership. So many of the fans who have grown up on Winx would be turned away if you did start an age cap. I have seen a few times the statement that 'this is a children's message board' if I try to say something or discuss something that might not be pleasant for everyone. So that is why I'm wondering, if your rules and FAQ site doesn't state that there is an age limit, why make the statement constantly?

| Well you do have to consider that there are mostly kids and teens on this forum and you have to be considerate about certain topics that kids don't really know or care about. Some of the topics like your mental illness topic was more toward the adult side rather than something kids talk about. If that makes sense. |

Well true, but there's plenty of mature people not to mention that kids can avoid it if desired. Forcing people to not talk about an issue such as mental illness is arguably more harmful since it silences people with an issue like that. I mean we can't just run around talking about everything but I think there are things that are a bit mature that others can handle. Also, for more mature topics, can't there be a section of the board that's restricted in someway, either password, age or something else? That might help.

| No one forced you to read my topic on Mental Illness Lauren, Kyraii has it right that talking about problems like this is better than keeping it bottled up.
Plus, there wasn't anything really adult about that topic, it was brought up in a way that kids and adults could both understand.
