| First topic message reminder :
Given the recent complaints about the dolls on here I thought we could play a little game with it. Here's how pretend you work for a big name toy company and they just asked you on how you would design their New Winx Club line starting with the collector items of Charmix (1st level also called Fairy Mode). They have given you the materials you need for it as part of the designing process (yarn hair, several sheets of white material (cloth, felt, rubber and/or fishnet is up to you),glue, glitter, wing fishing line, wire spring ,doll base and dyes of your choice, the base is fully posable from head to toe with a butterfly hole in the back for the wings to lock in, the face has been done for you already in place with proper tones too and the underclothes are molded on) Pick a fairy to use, I'll do Flora since we always start with Bloom.
Colors needed orchid pink, fuchsia pink, soft green, lime green, light blue, light brown and blonde dyes I'll start with the necklace made out of cloth dyed to be a thin soft green band around her neck with a small orchid pink four petal flower (felt) dangling just above her chest. Next I make a pair of fuchsia shorts out of cloth to go under a cloth orchid pink flared petal skirt. The top consists of a cloth fuchsia and orchid corset in the pattern of fuchsia-orchid-fuchsia with detached orchid fishnet sleeves that flare out at her hands and stop below her shoulders. The boots are ankle length in orchid and made from rubber for better shimmer effect, the clothes are given glitter in their colors for the shimmer. Next i bend the fishing line and wire springs into a sort of raindrop-petal shape to fit the cloth lime green wings that were made earlier and add an identical pair on top to hide the wires as each wing is outlined in blue with glitter on it to glow. I make Flora's earrings out of some cloth and blonde dye to complete the outfit. The hair is similar to Bloom only it's parted in the center without the flame bangs, where the hair is parted it's blonde everywhere else it is light brown and goes to her rear. now i attach the hair onto the doll and dress it by putting it on accordingly after sewing the top and skirt into a dress. If you're wondering what those springs are for it's for fluttering, the Wire is sort of to help with translucentness in the wings.

- Why is their a Lego craze all of a sudden
I had to check your age first, the Lego craze has been going on since they were introduced from Europe before I was even born. My husband is 29 and still has his and wants new sets.
I have a two year old who's starting to like Winx Club (she actually says 'Winx Club' when she sees anything about the show so I'd probably want one of those 3ft tall dolls that you can share their clothes with if you're 3-6 years old. Mattel used to make them for Barbie every once in a while. Kids really like to play dress up and pretend to be their favourite character in TV shows.
I'd also want the smaller dolls to be designed closer to Barbie or Bratz so they could share clothes. It's very aggravating with both the Mattel and Jakks' lines that Jakks doesn't sell doll clothes for the dolls, just different doll lines. The dolls would be easier to dress as well and the wings would be a little sturdier.
I'd make sure I obtained a license to make the dolls as accurate as they are on TV so they wouldn't have missing gloves or hair pieces like on the Jakks dolls.

| Show accurate seems to be the common consensus. Also it appears we want all 7 fairies here as well (Roxy deserves better than she was treated this season). | |

I think the reason that the Jakks dolls aren't as accurate as the Mattel ones is because Jakks either couldn't or didn't obtain the rights to make the dolls completely accurate. That's why Aisha and Musa don't have their headbands and Aisha doesn't have the pink hair.
Toy merchandising seems to have the same licensing rules as gaming and other media. If you don't have a license to do something, you can't do it. That's why if I ever got to design a doll, I'd get the full license to include all the accessories.

| I would rather make specialists dolls like helia, riven, Timmy, Brandon, and Roy idk xD I also forgot sky too.
And jakks should make love & pet dolls like musa, flora, Aisha, Tecna, and Stella since they already have the bloom love and pet though..

| If i could design the winx club doll in anyway I could, I make their hair longer, flowing, and match just like the characters off the show. I'd make the wings a little bigger, and flaps like real wings, and have them sparkle and glow. Either the original Winx Club girl, or another generation of Winx. I design them the way I picture them in the show. | |
