First topic message reminder :
Hello everyone! Me and the other mods talked about some members having over-sized signatures. Well, if you don't know what is the max of the size of a signature, maybe try visiting the rules topic. Our signatures shouldn't be big so that people wouldn't have a hard time scrolling down just because of the sizes of your signatures...
But here's a tip, if you don't know how to resize your signature, try going to Flickr or Photobucket. I don't know about photobucket, but I will tell you all how to resize it on Flickr.
~Flickr~ Sign up first, if you have signed up, then lets proceed to step 2. I am sure that Flickr will give you a tour.
Then, upload your signature! Its up to you if you wanted it to be private or public. If you have uploaded it, click the picture.
If you are there on the picture, right-click then you will see certain sizes like [Meduim 500, Medium 800,etc.] It would be better to click 500, then when you click it, to get the url, right-click then copy url. GC Users: Copy URL IE Users: Properties, then copy the link adress Firefox Users: Copy Image Location
Then there! You have it in a smaller size but in a high quality! The resolution and quality would be like my signature, having that resolution and quality is great right?
So, this topic is mainly about the over-sized signatures, please PM us mods for help, ok? I do hope this works, but if you still don't understand, try to PM me since I wrote that tutorial...
NOTE: IF the Medium 640 is like 640x364 or 365, etc; I suggest you go to paint and crop it, you can as well see how big it is. It should be 630x360. Try cropping the bottom or upper part.
ONE MORE THING! Since many people are asking us if their sig is in the right size, how about I tell you all how to know whats the size of your sig is.
1. Go to MS Paint. Then look at the bottom part with its length and width (i.e. 640x360) 2. You may ask assistance to me and the other mods about re-sizing OR telling if it is enough or oversized. 3. You may also ask us where or how to re-size.
Thank you for reading this!
HERE'S AN EXAMPLE BETWEEN FLICKR AND IMGUR! ~FLICKR~

Images posted above are made on Pizap.com
See the difference? Well, you may go to Flickr or Photobucket for your image to have a better quality!

I mainly use GIMP when doing fanart/graphics/ripping.
HOW TO SEE SIZE OF SIG ON GC:
Right click, Open Image in New Tab, See the size of it on the tab name. If you have too many tabs open, You can't see it. it would be let's say, 300X100 ( Normal Avatar size when I make Slender ones) 300 is the length, 100 is the height.
How to see Size on Firefox:
Right Click,Copy Link Location, Open New tab. Like GC, See tab name.
How to see Image on GIMP:
Open your Image, then see the window name, it will show the size in Brackets.
How to See on Ms Paint: Open your image, see the bottom of the window.
Will post pics later.

I think that Jae should put a limit for the signatures. Like 500x300. Some of the signatures on the forum are just too big.

there is already a limit size in the rules thread... but no one seems to be able to READ IT or care about it
or are you talking about a script so the forum itself won't allow any bigger images? that would solve it all
moved this to rules

Thanks for adding more informations Chris!
Anyways, Naomi, try pasting you sig on MS paint, then look at its size on the bottom part of the Paint. If it is more than 630 length or 360 width then it is over-sized...
Y'alls signatures are fine; as they don't take up much of the computer screen. Although some of your banners are barely just passable. Just be aware on how large in size your banners are accumulating.

@Cookies - Yeah, you might have to re-size it down a bit more. It takes up nearly half of my screen's monitor. (Which is a basic size)

Yours is around 800x325.
If you need a way of telling how big it is pull up Paint, paste it in there, and if you hover over the tip of the bottom right corner of the image and look in the box at the bottom right of the screen, it should tell you around how big it is. Not exact since I doubt you can get your mouse at the exact point, but it works well enough.
