I like Both But I Really Miss The Pixies. They Were So Cute ^_^ But The Selkies Are Amazing 2

They are so cute & in the 3D version they are even cuter!

While I was a but uneasy of adding more "miniature characters" to the show, the Selkies do have a decent purpose. Much like the pixies during season 2; they held a piece of the Codex in their hidden village and served as a comedic part of the show. That went well. Their time in season 3 was nice as well, but they never got anywhere too much.

The Selkies are the Winx's guides through the infinite ocean (I think?) and take on a more serious role than the Pixies. Less comedic values and more purpose for action. Plus they fight pretty well against Tritannus all together.

All in all, so far, I like the Pixies but the Selkies are cool. They just need to appear more.

Not to be annoying or a know it all but there is a topic about this but any way forget it who cares?
I like pixies the little swimming things are a rip off of them I WANT PIXIES!!!!!!!!!!

They are both great and all. The one thing is, the Selkies barely have character. I do miss the pixies too. The Pixies have more character. I Don't see why they had to disappear besides them having their own TV show. It is a spin-off based on The Winx's Popularity. So, The Pixies like Chocoroko said that they are important in Season 2 but not so in Season 3. So, maybe the Selkies like also Choco said, their guide through the Infinite Ocean. Or they just use them to open the gates (but they can use the Odyssey Explorer right?) Or they are Power backup. (They do have powers)

It's likely the Selkies will be with them throughout the whole season. Just like how their Pixie Pets were with the Winx all of season 4, and then they were off the show right after. I kind of hope that the Winx don't have a "side kick" thing going on for Season 6; unless it were the Pixies.
